Father's Day

Hello crafty friends, I have not spent much time in the craft room over the past six months. So, most of the cards I am posting are not ones I made at the time of the post.

This card is for Washi Tape Wednesday. I am pretty confident that I have enough Washi Tape to last me a lifetime. I wanted the motorcycle to be the focus for this card, so it is simple.

I started with white cardstock, added lines of monochromatic washi tape, and then layered the panel with black cardstock.

I die-cut the motorcycle and popped it up with foam tape. I dusted off my stamps and ink (they were feeling abandoned) and stamped the sentiment. I popped the strip up with foam tape to complete the card.

Supplies: White and black cardstock, Simon Says Stamp - Father's Day Finds, motorcycle - unknown.

Did you know: The first motorcycle was made of wood. The 1885 Daimler Reitwagen, often considered the first motorcycle, had a wooden frame and iron-banded wheels.

Deepest Sympathy

Hello crafty friends - I have a card made with shades of green to share today.

I started with a layer of patterned paper and layered it with green cardstock. I did the same with the second panel, then added foam tape to pop it up.

I stamped 'with deepest', then added the die-cut 'Sympathy' popped up with foam tape.

I die-cut a branch, adhered it with foam tape, and finished the card with gems.

Supplies: White and green cardstock, Designer Paper - unknown, Simon Says Stamp - Privet Branch, Altenew - Elegant Saying, and gems.

Happy Holidays

Hello crafty friends, Merry Monday, I have a cute card to share today.

I don't think I will ever tire of using Penny Black Masterpiece made simple. They are so easy to use, and they make a lovely card, in my opinion.

I started with a panel of designer paper and then added a die-cut panel with decorative edges. I layered the Penny Black panel with black cardstock and added foam tape. I used a sentiment strip that is popped up with foam tape.

I have not been very diligent with making my holiday cards, I will need to step up my game if I want enough to send out for Christmas.

Supplies: White and black cardstock, Designer Paper - Memory Box, Penny Black-  Masterpiece made simple, Simon Says stamp - Sentiment Strip.

Did you know: A group of Flamingos is called a "Flamboyance.

Love you

Hello crafty friends - I have a monochrome card to share.

I love the artistic elements of this card. I started by using a panel die-cut with craft cardstock. I adhered that to a piece of red cardstock and then glued that to the card base.

I used an intricate set of circle die-cuts alternating with kraft and red cardstock. I used tape to hold each of the rings together and foam tape to pop them up.

I added a sentiment strip with a layer of foam tape, then finished the card with some Nuvo drops.

Supplies: White, red and kraft cardstock, panel and circle element die cut - unknown, Simon Says Stamp - Sentiment strip, Nuvo drops.

The beach is calling

My love for Graphic 45 paper has not diminished. I started this card with a designer paper panel from a Graphic 45 paper pad, and layered that with black card stock.

I cut and used sentiment strips from the paper pad, using foam tape to adhere one of them. I finished the card with some gems.

Supplies: white and black card stock, Graphic 45 designer paper, and gems.

Did you know: Sand is usually made from Silica and Silica is actually silicon dioxide (SiO2), which is a compound that makes up most of the earth's crust. It also makes up the mineral quartz, and actually has many uses (including making ceramics, concrete and countertops).

Cherry on Top

Hello crafty friends - Happy Friday.

I started this card with a piece of designer paper and layered it with black card stock.

I did the same with a horizontal piece of coordinating pattern paper. I added some twine wrapping that three times.

I used the third piece from the paper pack to create a panel that I adhered with foam tape.

I used one of the sentiment panels from the paper pad on top of that. I fussy cut the small corner piece and popped it up with foam tape, then finished the card with some gems.

Supplies: white and black card stock, Graphic 45 designer paper, twine, and gems.

Did you know: Cherries are delicious fruits that come in various colors like red, yellow, and purple, and they belong to the rose family.
