Another quick request card for today, my husband is wonderful at requesting cards on short notice. Maybe I should sit him down with some paper and a glue stick J
I used the light tent on this portrait, not bad for a non-photographer me thinks. The picture does not really show that the bandaid stamp is double layered and I used good ol’ Microsoft word for the quote.

Supplies: Gray & Black cardstock, Designer papers – S.E.I Charlemagne, Bandaid stamp – Unknown designer, popup dimensionals, MultiCraft Imports Ribbon.

There are times when I sit down to create a card that I have no idea what I am going to do, I mean I may know I need to make a birthday card or a thank you card but I may not have an idea to work with, other times if I know that a card needs to be made it will cycle around my head until I put glue to paper. I stumble through techniques and toy with new products or shiny bits but I never really feel like I KNOW what I am doing most of the time. I sure am glad that I end up with a card rather than bits of paper just stacked in random array (well most of the time). Rambling… I am going now.

Have a great day.

I love this stamp, I am not one for fashion and I don’t even carry a purse but I have found myself drawn to stamps that are pretty dresses, hats, shoes and purses. They make pretty cards as well.

Supplies: Black & turquoise cardstock, Designer Paper – DCWV the All Dressed up Stack, Lockhart Stamp Co - Roses & Daisies, Prima Flowers, Misc gems.

You can’t tell by the picture but the dress is all glittered up, I also outlined the white card stock it looks more gray then glittery. I love the DCWV All Dressed up designer paper it is already decked out with glitter and wonderful colors requiring very little added to make a pretty card, I have been using a lot of turquoise lately too. The camera seems to pick up flaws as well, I did not notice the access glue on the gems but it is easy to see in the picture.

Have a wonderful day.

Hope you are enjoying you weekend. I apologize that this image is very blurry. I am not positive of the Designer Paper, I made this card a couple of months ago. If anyone recognizes it and it is not Paper Pizazz please let me know. I have been very cardful to make not of the products I use since I started this blog.

Supplies: Cream and brown cardstock, Design Paper – Paper Pizazz Vintage Papers (I think), R.S. Tapestry - Thinking of You, Prima Vintage flowers, Misc gems, Modern Home Ribbon.

Enjoy your Sunday.

I am not counting down to Christmas day but my son sure is. I am done shopping and most of the wrapping, I am going to make a couple more batches of cookies but other than that I have been enjoying the copious amounts of snow we have outside. More expected tonight, it is a good thing I have a good stock of cardmaking supplies. I am leaving it down to the wire for a few of my cards, I finished the one for my husband the day before yesterday but I did not take a picture so that one will get posted after Christmas. I was a little wiser with the one for my son though and remembered before I sealed the envelope. Inside this card I printed out the lyrics to Jingle Bell Rock.

My son interests involve a lot of music right now, ipod, guitars and guitar lessons, t-shirts with bands on them so when I saw this stamp set I knew it was a must. It may make a couple appearances in the next month or so.

This card is an odd shape of 3 x8.5 inches.

Supplies: Blue Cardstock, Baby Blue Glitter paper DCWV, Provo Craft Lacey Sky, Inkadinkado Rock Star Clear Stamps, Modern Home ribbon, Stamp’n Stuff Winter Wonderland Embossing Powder, misc jingle bell.

Here are a few snowy images from around our area, snow usually falls and melts quickly here if it falls at all. We have around a foot of snow right now and we have had a week of - numbers weather. Winter.. huh.. fancy that.
I have to chuckle about with this next photo as that it is a hot tub on the trailer on the right hand side.

Sorry for the late post, work has been insane and I have not had any time for crafting these past couple of days. Soo.. I am going to post a card I am quite proud of, I did not make it however my son did. It has a little wear and tear on it because it has been saved and pulled out of hiding a number of times and my camera skills again come into question.

Supplies: Blue cardstock, All Night Media – Chinese Love, Seaside Sketches Love Returned – Stampin’ Up, Offray Ribbon

I am so happy with this card, I don’t mean to toot horns but I like it. One of the blogs I visit had done a card with C.C. Designs Digi Downloads and it was so cute. Anyone who visits my blog know that I have done a few cards with designs created by my sister Barb Derksen. So when I saw these cute little digi’s I was a bad girl and brought them and wanted to make a card right away. My camera skills leave alot to be desired but you get the idea.

Supplies: C.C. Designs – Hats snow bunny, burgundy and sage from Nature Preserve Recycled cardstock, DCWV- Clear Glitter paper, Basic Grey Figgy Pudding Kringle Designer paper, Celebrate it Holiday ribbons, Prima flowers, Glitter brads.

I can’t wait to try a few more of the ‘digital stamps’, hopefully more created by my sister.

I am down to my last few pieces of Nature Preserve Recycled Cardstock, I love this paper I brought it at Michaels in the summer on clearance. I don't think they carry it anymore which is a shame as I love the colors.

Have a great day.
