Happy Thoughts

Hello, crafty friends; I have a fun bee card to share today. The design is pretty simple. I stamped some daisies on a panel of white cardstock.

I stamped and fussy-cut some bees and popped them up with foam tape. I stamped the sentiment and then used markers to add green squiggle lines and some colour to the flowers and bees.

I layered the panel with black cardstock and finished the card with some yellow sparkle gold gems.

Happy Birthday

Hello, crafty friends, I have a clean and simple card to share today.

I love this Designer Paper from Paper Rose; it is stunning and can carry a card all on its own, which is what I have done.

I used four square die cuts to cut a pattern from a piece of 6 x 6 paper. I added some thick foam tape behind the squares and arranged them as I cut them on a panel of white cardstock.

I stamped a sentiment, added some gems, and adhered the panel to the card base with a thin foam tape, and the card was done.

Tuesday Morning Sketches - #752 Happy Thoughts

Hello, crafty friends, I am playing along with the Tuesday Morning Sketches challenge for my card today.

I started with a panel of white cardstock and added strips of patterned paper along the left side and bottom of the panel, the overlapping corners are slightly interwoven.


I die-cut a circle frame from light gray cardstock and then fit a die-cut flower into it, layering themwith foam tape to give it dimension. To finish, I added a sentiment strip and some gems.

Hello, crafty friends; it is Washi Tape Wednesday. I have a fun birthday card using some geometric washi tape.

Bear Birthday

Hello, crafty friends; bear with me; I have a quick card to share.

I started the layer of designer paper and added some black cardstock; I added a strip of coordinating patterned paper vertically at the center of the card.

I layered the image panel with black cardstock and foam tape. Then, I added a sentiment, which is also layered with foam tape.




I finished the card with gems.

Merry Christmas

Hello crafty friends, Merry Monday. I used a simple designer for my card today.

I had a large plaid scrap sitting on my desk, inspiring me. I used the Penny Black Large Bauble die cut the designer paper. I used black cardstock for the coordinating bow.




I added a moose with foam tape and stamped the sentiment onto the card base. I finished the card with an enamel dot on the bow.

Happy Wishes

Hello, crafty friends. I have a square card to share today. I pulled out a 6x6 patterned paper pack and used some scraps.

I started with a piece of black cardstock and added a piece of scrap; I then aligned two other pieces, gluing from left to right. 

I cut two thin strips of black cardstock and aligned them along the edges of the scraps.


I used the back side of another scrap and stamped the sentiment, I layered that with black cardstock and foam tape. I finished the card with some gems.

Today was fun

Hello, crafty friends. Today's card is all patterned paper. I started with a piece of black cardstock and added a layer of patterned paper.

I layered a coordinating piece of cardstock along the center of the card. I added some black cardstock to the sentiment panel and then finished the card with a couple of stars.

Happiness

Hello, crafty friends. I have a fun stacked-layer card. I used square die cuts to create a series of squares from patterned paper.


I cut the squares in half and layered each half-square offset to build a stacked element. I then added the sentiment strip, which is layered with foam tape. 

I finished the card with some gems.

A Dog's Life

Hello, crafty friends. Today, I have a card made mostly from patterned paper. I started with a piece of black cardstock.

I used a 12 x 12 paper pack and the borders that came in the pack to create a small panel at the top and bottom of the card, making it look like there are more layers.

I used a larger piece of coordinating paper along the center of the card.

I layered the sentiment panel with black cardstock and then finished the card with gems.

Hello There

Hello, crafty friends; it is Washi Tape Wednesday.

I have a quick and easy card to share today, I needed a smaller card, and this fit the bill.
I started with a piece of white cardstock slightly smaller than the card base and added some strips of washi tape.


I used My Cricut Joy for the sentiment, then finished the card with some gems.

Grateful

Hello, crafty friends, I have a monochromatic card to share today.

I ordered some 49th and Market Color Swatch Charcoal items, and they were in my mailbox when I got home today and I could not resist playing a little.

I started with a piece of black cardstock that I cut a postage stamp die-cut. I then cut a piece of designer paper to fit inside.


I added an acetate butterfly that is popped up with foam tape, and a sentiment punch out. I finished the card with some black gems.

Did you know: Charcoal was also used historically as a source of black pigment by grinding it up.

Holiday Season

Hello, crafty friends, and Merry Monday. I saw this design on Pinterest and wanted to try it, I like the layout, but I think I will add some layers next time.

I added some pattern paper strips to the card base and stamped the sentiment in the center. To finish, I added a Nutcracker and some gems.

Easter Wishes

Happy Easter, crafty friends, I have a quick and simple card to share today.

Sometimes, the paper does all the work for you. I started this card with a piece of patterned paper, I added a layer of black cardstock, I did the same with both the center panel and the sentiment panel.


I added a piece of very lightweight ribbon; I love how the bow is all curly.

Coffee

Greetings, crafty friends, I have a coffee card to share today. I started with that panel of gray cardstock that I ran through the Big Shot with a leaf plate.

I added a sentiment with a stamp.

I fuss cut the coffee cut and coloured it using my Zig markers. I finished the card with some gems.

Happiest Birthday

Hello, crafty friends; it is Washi Tape Wednesday.
 
For today's card, I am playing with some washi tape I found at Staples. The design is simple, but I love the way it turned out. Please ignore the wet glue, I was too impatient to let it dry before I took the photo.

I applied the strips of washi tape to a panel of white cardstock, die-cut a small black frame, and glued it to the panel.


I used a sentiment strip that popped up with foam tape, then finished the card with some gems; I adhered the panel to the card front with foam tape.

Unknown Path

Hello, crafty friends; I am sharing an ink-blended card today.

I started with a panel of white cardstock and added some ink blending. I cut the panel into three pieces and added some more ink around the edges.

I stamped the sentiment, the boots, and the fern images. I added some ink splatter to the panels and then popped them up with foam tape.

Merry Monday, crafty friends. I pulled out some Graphic 45 paper for my card today.

My design is using simple panels and layers. The main panel as well as the two smaller panels are all layered with black cardstock, the sentiment panel has an added layer of foam tape.


I finished the card with some enamel dots.

Celebrate

Hello, crafty friends; I have a mixed media card of sorts to share today.

I started with some watercolour paper and glued die-cut leaves and flowers. Once the glue was dry, I sprayed the panel with water and some Dylusions ink sprays.

I let the panel dry and then added some gray ink around the edges and spots of silver on the edges of the flowers and leaves.


I die-cut the sentiment from white cardstock, added some gray ink, and then made a shadow out of black cardstock. I adhered the shadow to the sentiment with foam tape.

I added black gems to finish the card.

Celebrate you - Masculine

Hello, crafty friends; I have a masculine card to share today.

I started with a panel of designer paper and added a layer of brown cardstock. I used a scenic panel from the same paper pack and added two brown cardstock corners and a layer of kraft cardstock. I used foam tape to adhere to the panel.

I die-cut the sentiment from brown cardstock, and a shadow from kraft cardstock popped them up with foam tape.



I finished the card with some black half-pearls.

Good old Days

Hello, crafty friends, I have a coffee card to share today.

I started the card with two panels of designer cardstock and added a layer of black cardstock. I heat-embossed the sentiment onto black cardstock.

I started by laying down strips of washi tape, and I added some ink splatters on top to give the panel an added distressed look. I adhered the panel to some black cardstock, and then I used foam tape to attach it to the card base.

Hello, crafty friends, I used another simple design for my card today.

I started with a piece of designer paper that is layered with black cardstock. I ran a piece of white cardstock through my big shot with the tree embossing folder, I adhered the panel with foam tape.


I stamped and die-cut a cardinal on the same designer paper as the first layer. I added a acetate sentiment with a layer of white cardstock and foam tape.

I finished the card with some Nuvo drops.

I started with a panel of designer paper then added a layer of black cardstock, I did the same with second slightly smaller panel. I adhered the top panel with foam tape.

Hello, crafty friends, I used a simple design for my card today.

I started by using distress ink with a stencil to create a pattern on white cardstock.  I added a layer of black cardstock to the panel. 

The sentiment is a triple-layer die cut from black cardstock. I finished with some gems.

Think spring

Hello crafty friends, I have a simple napkin card to share for my post today.

I started with a square panel and covered it with glue stick glue, I used a brayer to ensure the napkin adhered to the gluey panel. I then die-cut the square using a stitched square die-cut.




I die-cut the sentiment three times to give it dimension, I then added a layer of black cardstock to the panel. I finished the card with some gems.

Hello craft friends, It is Washi tape on Wednesday. I created a monochrome card for my post today.

I started with a piece of white cardstock and added lengths of washi tape. I added a flower, then heat embossed and die-cut the sentiment, adhering it with foam tape.


I added a layer of black cardstock to the panel and then finished the card with gems.

I started this card with a piece of black cardstock, then added three panels of designer paper, evenly spaced to let the black cardstock create frames.




I added a sentiment strip layered with foam tape and finished the card with shimmery rainbow dew drops.

Hello, crafty friends, and Merry Monday. For my card today, I used a simple design. I pulled out a paper pad I have had for a long time but have yet to open.

I started with a layer of patterned paper and added some black cardstock. I added a second layer of coordinating paper, which was also layered with foam tape.



I used two small punch outs from the paper pad and adhered them with foam tape. I added foam tape to the panel to adhere it to the card base.

Hello crafty friends, I have a one colour card to share today.

I started with a piece of cardstock and ran it through the big shot with an embossing folder.. I die cut happy birthday from the same cardstock and adhered it with foam tape. 


To finish the card I added gems to the small blank areas left by the embossing folder.

I started by masking off a frame on three sides of my card base. I added colour with some Dylusions paint.

I stamped the collage image in black and the added the black border with a marker.

Think happy

Hello crafty friends - I have a bee-utiful card to share today.

I used lots of layers for this card, I started with the bottom layer and add a layer of black cardstock, I did the same with the other two layers.


The sentiment panel has a layer of black cardstock , it was die cut from postage edge square and some foam tape.


I added two Bumblebee Trinkets to finish the card.
