Treetops

Hello crafty friends, I have some snowflakes for today's Merry Monday.

I started this card with a panel of black cardstock, which I layered with some foam tape. I then cut out some rectangles and squares from patterned paper and adhered them to the panel.

I die-cut a snowflake wreath and a sentiment sticker from the coordinating paper pack, I adhered it with foam tape.

I finished the card with some gems in the center of the snowflakes.

Supplies: White and black cardstock, Designer Paper - Photoplay, snowflake wreath - unknown, gems.

Did you know: Ostrich farms sometimes have difficulty getting their male ostriches to breed, since they are more attracted to their human caretakers than to female ostriches.

We have a new Merry Monday Christmas card challenge, I am the hostess this week and my challenge is to Create a rustic Christmas card.

My husband always like the rustic style Christmas cards, mostly because I usually incorporate some sort of buck or moose and probably some plaid as I did here.

The gold highlights on the kraft cardstock is not exactly "rustic" but it falls along the lines of what you are seeing in the stores these days for design elements.

Supplies: Kraft cardstock, Designer Paper - American Crafts, Paper Smooches- Tag die, Papertry Ink-Holiday Wishes, misc buck die, twine.

Merry Monday Christmas Card Challenge #285

Good Morning - we have a new Merry Monday Christmas card challenge, I am the hostess this week and my challenge is to Add ribbon to your Christmas card.

I don't know about you but as the 'in' thing of cardmaking comes and goes I usually end of with an excess of supplies, ribbon is one of those. I use to incorporate ribbon into my design on so many cards, I tend to neglect my supply now.

I do love my rustic style Christmas cards and this one is no different. I created a die cut button then glossed it over by melting multiple layers of clear embossing powder. I pulled out some raffia ribbon to sting through the button.

I used simple layers for the rest of the card, the sentiment is heat embossed in black and popped up with foam tape.

Supplies: White Cardstock, Designer Paper - Photo Play - Gina K Designs - Compliments of the Season, SSS - Stitched Square, ribbon.

Merry Monday Christmas Card Challenge #282

We have a new Merry Monday Christmas card challenge, Linda is our hostess and her challenge is to Create a Christmas card using the inspiration photo.

Pinecones anyone.... When I saw the inspiration image my first thought was I have this designer paper covered in pinecones. In one corner it has this fun college so I used that as my top panel.

The paper has an almost vintage theme so I used a vintage themed sentiment to match. The top panel and sentiment are popped up with foam tape. I added some twine as an embellishment.

Supplies: Cream and brown cardstock, Designer Paper-Bo Bunny, Cornish Heritage Farms.
