Hello crafty friends, I have a card made with collage supplies to share for Washi tape Wednesday.

The design for this card is simple, I was playing with some supplies I picked up for an Art Journal class.

I started with a piece of white cardstock then added a piece to mushroom themed collage/journal paper. I added a strip of washi tape along the side.

I added some foam tape to a coordinating ephemera element, and printed the sentiment from my computer. Both were adhered with foam tape.

I finished the card with some micro gems.

Supplies: White cardstock, collage paper & element, sentiment, gems.

Did you know: Even though they grow in the dirt, fungi are actually more genetically related to animals than they are to green plants.

Hello crafty friends, I turned my Washi tape Wednesday card into an art project.

I started by dry brushing some acrylic paint onto the card base.

I added some washi tape tape to cardstock then cut it into 1 inch strips and adhered it with foam tape.

I then die cut a leafy branch and added with some foam tape.

I used a sentiment strip also layered with foam tape. I finished the card with some gems.

Supplies: White and brown cardstock, 49th and Market - washi tape, die cut - unknown, The Ton - sentiment strip, gems,.

Did you know: As acrylic paint dries, the water evaporates and the polymer particles lock together to form a flexible, water-resistant plastic film.

Cozy Christmas

Hello crafty friends, I have a vintage looking card to share for Merry Monday. 

 
I used a holiday paper from Simply Stated Designs for my card, I layered that with some black cardstock. I added some black and red twine.

I pulled out an actual stamp set for the sentiment; it has been far to long since I played with stamps and ink. I layered the sentiment with black cardstock and foam tape.

I finished the card with some gems.

Supplies: White and black cardstock, Designer Paper - Simply Stated Designs, Hero Arts - Christmas messages, twine, gems.

Did you know: Hot Chocolate used to be spicy and cold: Long ago, the ancient Olmec, Mayan, and Aztec people crushed cocoa beans and mixed them with water, cornmeal, and fiery chili peppers. Instead of drinking it hot and sweet, they served it cold and frothy.

Happy Birthday

Hello crafty friends, I have a fun bright card to share for Washi Tape Wednesday.

The layout is simple, I cut a panel of white cardstock slightly smaller than the card base and laid down some washi tape, I then layered the panel with black cardstock and foam tape.

I found the circle element from a scrap dish and adhered it.

I created the vertical sentiment in Word and layered them with black cardstock and foam tape. I finished the card with some gems.

Supplies: White and black cardstock, Washi Tape, sentiment strips, circle element - unknown, gems.

Did you know: Giraffes are 30 times more likely to get hit by lightning than humans.

Magic of the Season

Hello crafty friends, I have a square card to share for Merry Monday.

I started with a layer of patterned paper and layered that with black cardstock. I then cut a panel of white cardstock and used a die cut to create a scene.

I ran the die cut scene panel through my big shot with an embossing folder to add texture then layered that with foam tape.

I added a sentiment strip that is layered with foam tape then finished the card with some gems.

Supplies: White and black cardstock, Designer Paper - Recollections, Memory Box - Country Cottage, sentiment strip - Word, embossing folder,  gems.

Did you know: Earth is closest to the sun in winter.

Fall Days

Hello crafty friends, I have a quick card to share for Washi tape Wednesday.

I started with a panel of white cardstock, and added some washi tape strips. I added some twine then layered the panel with black cardstock and foam tape. I added a thin strip of black cardstock along the card base.

I added a sentiment strip I created in Word, and layered that with foam tape, I finished the card with some gems.

Supplies: White and black cardstock, Washi Tape, sentiment strip, twine, gems.

Did you know: In the Southern Hemisphere, autumn happens from March to June.

Joy to the World

Hello crafty friends, I have some Nutcrackers to share for Merry Monday today.

I could not resist playing with these holiday Graphic 45 papers, the panels make for an easy layered card.

I started with a panel of patterned paper and added a layer of black cardstock, I did the same with the center and Nutcracker panels. I added foam tape to the Nutcracker panel as well.

I layered the sentiment strip with white cardstock and foam tape. I finished the card with some enamel dots.

Supplies: White and black cardstock, Designer Paper - Graphic 45, Simon Says Stamp - sentiment strip , Echo Park - enamel dots.

Did you know: Nutcrackers are symbols of good luck and protection that originated as folk art in the Ore Mountains of Germany.

Jump into Fall

Fall is in the air, hello crafty friends. I have a fun autumn card to share today.

Autumn is my favorite time of year and I love making autumn themed cards, Halloween too, I will share a few of those in the future as well.

For this card, I started with a couple of panels of coordinating cardstock, I layered those with brown cardstock. I did the same with the sentiment panel, adhering that with foam tape.

I die cut some tiny acorns from scraps, I alternated adding foam tape to add interest, I added some brown twine.

I finished the card with some dew drops.

Supplies: White and brown cardstock, Designer Paper - Echo Park, Lawn Fawn - Stitched Acorn Frame, twine, dew drops.

Did you know:  Some autumn leaves get so bright they can actually be seen from outer space.

Hello crafty friends and welcome to Washi Tape Wednesday.

I started this card by applying washi tape to a white panel of cardstock, I then added some embossed lines before layered the panel with black cardstock and adhering it to the card base.

I layered the sentiment strip with multiple layers of black and white cardstock. I finished the card with some gems.

Supplies: White and black cardstock, Washi tape, Simon Says Stamp - Sentiment strip, gems.

Did you know: Your brain cannot feel pain because it does not have pain receptors, even though it processes pain from the rest of your body.

Hello crafty friends, and welcome to another Merry Monday post. I have been making my way through some of my older paper pads.

This card was very easy to put together, it is all about the designer paper. I started with a panel of patterned paper then added a strip of coordinating paper from the same paper pad.

The sentiment panel was an easy choice to round out the card. I finished with some silver half pearls.

Supplies: White cardstock, Designer Paper - Carta Bella, pearls.

Did you know: A fresh blanket of snow absorbs sound waves, which makes the whole world outside sound peaceful and quiet.
