Keeping Christmas - November 2020

Good Morning and welcome to the November edition of the Keeping Christmas Blog Hop. This will be the last Keeping Christmas for 2020, and the last for the foreseeable future as well. Kelly has announced that she will not be continuing Keeping Christmas in 2021.

What a pleasure it was participating in this wonderful monthly challenge, thank you Kelly and the rest of the Keep Christmas participants.

I used a simple layout for my card. I did not want too many layers so it would not cause me problems when I mail it. This is another napkin card, I could not resist the holiday design.

This napkin like all others has three layers, I removed off the two bottom ones and only used the top design layer. I brushed Mod Podge onto the cardstock, then laid the napkin over it. I used my brayer to get the napkin solidly adhered then I added another layer of Mod Podge. I have had this panel sitting on the corner of my desk for a couple of weeks so it was ready to use.

I added a layer of black cardstock in behind, then a layer of foam tape. I heat embossed the sentiment in white on black. I finished the card by adding some gold sequins and half pearls

Be sure to take some time to visit all the ladies on the Keeping Christmas blog hop. Leave some comment love behind and enjoy all the fabulous inspiration.

Keeping Christmas - January 2019

Keeping Christmas - Blessed Christmas

Welcome back for the January edition of the Keeping Christmas Series.

Its been a little while since I posted, but I am excited about this card for the Keeping Christmas blog hop.

I made this card with a masculine feel. Using a layer of brown cardstock to frame the Designer Paper. The green plaid is a great backdrop for the focal element panel.

I added a woodgrain texture to the kraft cardstock and layered it with brown cardstock, This panel has a layer of foam tape to pop it up.

I stamped and die cut the buck and sentiment, I then added a layer of foam tape to the sentiment. The card is finished with some matt brown dots.

Supplies: White, brown and kraft cardstock, Designer Paper - PhotoPlay, Simon Says Stamp - Magical Christmas, dots.

Welcome back for the November edition of the Keeping Christmas Series.

December is only a week away, this year has flown by. I still have a few cards left to make for the holiday and this design was perfect for making multiples.

I added black cardstock to each layer, the sentiment and second layer are both popped up with foam tape. I finished with some gems. I added interest by using stitched rectangles.

Supplies: White and black cardstock, Designer Paper - My Minds Eye, Penny Black - Christmas Cheer, gems.

The blog hop Keeping Christmas team has some stunning samples, be sure to stop by to take a look.

This will be the last Keeping Christmas for 2019, but we will be back for more holiday goodness in 2020.

Keeping Christmas Inspiration Hop

Hello, and happy Thursday, in November we did the Simply Sweet Christmas Inspiration Hop. The decision was made to do a monthly Keeping Christmas Inspiration Hop.

We will be sharing Christmas creations on the 25th of each month. Keeping Christmas is hosted on Kelly Lunceford blog, she has been posting Keep Christmas for some time now.

My card is pretty simple. I used a snowy embossing folder to add texture to my card base. I die cut a snowflake and added some heat embossing in gold to the edges. I added that same texture to a square panel that I glued the snowflake too.

I used stitched squares to make frames in kraft and chocolate brown, alternating with foam tape to add some dimension.

I finished with a simply stamped sentiment. I apologize for the low-quality picture I was digitally challenged with my camera ;).

Supplies: Kraft and brown cardstock, Papertrey ink - Snowflake Flurries, Memory Box - Lindeman Snowflake, embossing folder.

I am obviously not alone in this hop, so hop along and be sure to visit each blog. There is a lot of inspiration and ideas to get your creative juices flowing.

Keeping Christmas - August 2019

Welcome back for the August edition of Keeping Christmas Series.

There are 4 months, or 122 days till Christmas.. that seems like a good stretch but I know it will that time is going to melt away. I suppose I should step up my game when it comes to making Holiday cards.

Our summer has only been so so, yet I am still ready for fall. I get excited thinking about the pretty colours and crisp air.

Anyway, on to the card I made for Keeping Christmas. I used a simple layout for this card. I created two panels and added a black mat to each. The sentiment panel is a ready-made one from a paper pack, I added a black back and popped it up with foam tape. I finished with some twine and double sequins for the embellishment.

Supplies: White and black cardstock, Designer Paper - Carta Bells, sequins, twine.

There is so much more inspiration, stop by the hot team member blogs to take a peek.

Keeping Christmas Blog Hop - October 2020

Good Morning all and welcome to Octobers' edition of the Keeping Christmas Blog Hop.

I am using a simple layout and easy design for my card for this month's Keeping Christmas. I die-cut a section of a 12x12 patterned paper to get my cardinal scene using a stitched rectangle. I used a layer of black cardstock in behind for a small frame.

I added some small rock glitter to some of the greenery then finished the card with some gems.

Supplies: White and black cardstock, Designer Paper-Simple Stories, Simon Says Stamp - Stitched rectangle, glitter, gems.

There is an abundance of inspiration as you hop along with the ladies listed below, be sure to stop and visit everyone below for more crafty goodness.

It is only 61 days till Christmas, are you ready?

Keeping Christmas Inspiration Hop - February

Welcome back for February's Keeping Christmas Series.

Keeping Christmas is hosted on Kelly Lunceford blog, she has been posting Keep Christmas for some time.

For my card, I started with simple layers. I am a little disappointed with my top layer, I used Distress ink to add some script on the background but after a few hrs it just seemed to be absorbed into the cardstock. If you look really close you can still see hints of it.

I die cut the tree twice, first with the gold shimmer paper then again with the plaid to get the body of the tree. I have the tree popped up with foam tape. I heat embossed the sentiment then finished with Nuvo glitter drops.

This card would be so easy to duplicate and make multiples.

Supplies: Kraft and brown cardstock, Designer Paper - Gold Shimmer and Echo Park, Penny Black - Script, Hero Arts - Banners & Messages, Penny Black - xmas tree, Nuvo - glitter drops.
