Happy Birthday

I broke down and purchased some crafty supplies this past weekend, one of the items in my cart was this beautiful embossing folder.

I can not take credit for the design of my card, a version of this was in the store when I was visiting. I embossed a piece of kraft cardstock, then highlighted the raised pattern with some white pigment ink.

I added some Glitz glitter gel and Cosmic shimmer to the flower stems. I stamped the sentiment then layered the main panel and the sentiment with a turquoise cardstock. The sentiment is also popped up with foam tape.

Supplies: White, kraft and turquoise cardstock, Hero Greetings - Happy Birthday, Altenew Beautiful Bergenia embossing folder, Cosmic Shimmer, Gina K Designers - Glitz glitter gel.

Awesome Birthday

I pulled out my an older wooden block stamp and some distress inks for this card. I have had this stamp sitting on my desk for weeks and this past weekend I finally inked it up.

I added some colour to the edges with some distress ink then also added some splatter as well. I added a layer of brown cardstock to all the panels and popped them up with foam tape.

I used some paillette thread with tiny sequins around the image panel then finished with a sentiment.

Supplies: Kraft and brown cardstock, Designer Paper - Craft Consortium, Penny Black - Letters & Flowers, Simon Says Stamp - Tiny Words Birthday, Paillette thread.

Old Saint Nick

Merry Monday all, I was digging though my many holiday paper pads and this one from KaiserCraft caught my eye. I like the vintage look.

There were a number of sections already cut and just needed a trip, so I layered them all over lapping slightly. I used a rectangle die cut to make a panel with Nick on it and I added a layer of foam tape to pop it up.

I used my trimmer to cut out the sentiments from a paper in the back of the pad, they are also popped up with foam tape. I finished with some gems.

Easy peasy right!

Supplies: White cardstock, KaiserCraft, gems.

Hearts

Clearly I am way behind on posting Valentine's cards, this card is another quick and simple style. I do love pattered papers and I let these ones tell the story.

I used one side of a double-sided page for the top panel and the opposite side for the lower half. I added a layer of light grey cardstock in behind and added a scrap of stitched edge to separate the panels.

I layered the sentiment, which is printed from Word then popped it up with foam tape. I finished the card with some small epoxy stickers.

Supplies: White and grey cardstock, Designer Paper - Simple Stories, Simon Says Stamp - Sttiched Rectangles, Doodlebug Sprinkles.

Love - Happy Valentine's Day

I made this card in February but I did not get a chance to post it. The size is not quite as large as a slimline card.

I cut a layer of patterned paper, then I cut a layer of black cardstock. I die cut some the letters from another pattered paper so I could tuck them under once I die cut a Love letters into the designer paper.

I then added foam tape to popped the top panel up onto of the other two layers.

I finished the card with a sentiment which is layered and popped up with foam tape.

Supplies: White and black cardstock, Designer Paper - Recollections, Simon Says Stamps - Ornate Love, sentiment MS Word.

Eat, Drink and Be Merry

I have a quick and easy card for today's post using papers from a Moda Scrap paper pack. Moda Scrap is by far one of my favorite paper pack companies as of late and it was super simple to use a couple of sheets from the Sudtirol Origins pack for this card.

I am already behind on holidays card not having put anything together for Merry Mondays for most of January and February but I hope to fix that for March.

The top panel of this card as well as the sentiment came from one of sheets in this paper pack, the plaid from another. I added layers of black cardstock behind each panel then separated the panels with foam tape. I added some gems for accents to finish.

Supplies: White and black cardstock, Designer Paper - Moda Scrap, gems

Nina
