Happy New Year :)
I used three coordinating patterned papers for this card, I layered them along side each other with varied widths.
I die cut the branch and added bits of foam tape behind leaves to pop random leaves up. I cut the sentiment strip and popped it up with foam tape then finished the card with some dew drop gems.
Supplies: White and cardstock, Simon Says Stamp - Sentiment Strip and Privet Branch die-cut, gems.
Did you know: The first New Year’s celebration dates back 4,000 years. Julius Caesar, the emperor of Rome, was the first to declare Jan. 1 a national holiday. He named the month after Janus, the Roman god of doors and gates. Janus had two faces, one looking forward and one looking back. Caesar felt that a month named after this god would be fitting.
Hello 2023.
Cheers,
Nina
