Inspiration

Greetings, fellow creative souls! I have a whimsical treat for you today - a second post that will surely pique your artistic curiosity. I've been dabbling with Crystal's enchanting ABC's of cardmaking challenge (HERE), and I'm thrilled to present my masterpiece for Day 1: Abstract.

Embarking on this artistic journey, I delved into the realm of abstract art, unearthing a trove of inspiration. My canvas? A piece of ebony mixed media paper, chosen for its sturdy embrace of acrylic paint.

And so, armed with tubes of snowy white, midnight black, and shimmering silver, I began to adorn my canvas with circles of varying sizes. As they shrank, the back of a pen and the tip of a paintbrush became my trusty accomplices.

To add depth and elegance, I layered the painted panel with silver and black cardstock, creating a harmonious union of colors. With a flourish, I mounted my creation onto a card base, employing foam tape to ensure a grand reveal. A sentiment elegantly crowned my work of art, courtesy of Woodware's Distress Labels.

Gathered for this artistic endeavor were supplies such as black mixed media paper, acrylic paints in white, black, and silver, white, black, and silver cardstock, and the pièce de résistance – Woodware's Distress Labels.

A fascinating tidbit: Abstract art, a marvel of the modern world, shuns the shackles of natural world representation.

May your creativity flourish, and happy crafting!
Nina
