Happy Friday, what a week :). My son is back at school and has all his classes all squared away, he has even diligently been doing his homework. Please let that last :)

Autumn is sure in the air here, I don't know if it is the blast of rainy weather or the chilly morning temps but it just feels time. I will miss being able to run out the door without a coat and wearing flip flips but I am all primed for the fall colors, I think it is because I had such a fabulous summer this year.

Anyhoo :) this is a pretty little Birthday card I made. I don't know what the designer paper is as I found it in my scrap pile. There are infinite treasures in my scrap piles :).

Happy Tuesday. It was a rainy chilly day here yesterday, a perfect day for tea and cardmaking, I only managed to make two cards but they were two that I have been dancing around for a while-will post them later.

Also on the agenda was spring(urmmm) fall cleaning, my sister Barb has that bug and was telling me all about it, apparantly it is a really infectious virus that can be caught through chat and email. 4 very large bags later I still have a couple of areas that need to 'sorted'. It did not help that I watched a few episodes of Hoarders either. Don't get me wrong I don't have a huge abundeance of overflowing items but it made me really think about some of the stuff I was keeping.

This cleanup has also inspired me to dig a little deeper into craft supplies to find designer paper and whatnot, this said some of these items don't have names or orginal packages for me to add to my card recipe.

Happy Friday, and a long weekend to boot. I am so happy I have my card making mojo back, I have high hopes it will last a while.

I sat down and managed two cards last night, I would have made more but I was tired and did not want to get sloppy. This is the last card of the little set of Simple Thank you cards. I spent more time on it *pause* :) I added a little glitter marker around the bull rush heads.

It is raining out... hard rain. The plants and trees are going to love it. I love the smell in the morning after a refreshing rain.

This is number three in the simple thank you series.

I sat down and made Christmas cards this past weekend, I always seem to try to make too many different designs and it feels a bit overwelming so this year I am going to try to do about 6 or 8 of about 4 designs. I also made a Thank you card which I will post in a few days. it felt great to sit down and just card for a couple of hrs.

Happy Saturday, it is a beautiful morning here but alas fall is sneaking into the air. I had a wonderful walk/run with a cute little dog I volunteered to walk for a couple of days.

I don't remember this card being as bright as the image displays, I thought it was pretty. I love this stamp, in fact I have two that are very similar. I think you can change the whole card with different Designer papers and added extras. Oh my and no ribbon :)

I say this ALOT, but I picked up some cute Christmas paper yesterday. I wanted to sit down and make something right then and there. I don't think my co-worker would have been happy with me though. I feel a card coming on, you know that feeling where you might just go insane if you don't cut some paper and ink a stamp or two. So I might have something to show in a few days. I still have a couple of simple cards left to post as well as another card with this very same stamp.

Darker mornings and the sun hides a little sooner at night, the evenings are cooler too. Summer is slowly fading and I have been feeling the need to make cards with Autumn and Halloween themes.

This is one of the super simple cards I made, I love ink spots, those mini version of a real ink pads. It makes it so easy to just drag them across the paper.

This image does not show it very well but I used three colors, a vibrant yellow then a light orange and a darker orange/red for the flower. I finished it with a misc gem.

I can't say that these are my favorite type of card but you never know unless you try and in a pinch I would still rather send out homemade cards.

Almost a whole month, I think that is a record for me even if I have only been blogging a short time. So much has been going on, a new computer, a failed external hard drive with all my card images on it and a vacation that was beyond fabulous.

Cards have gone by the wayside for the summer for the most part anyway, although I did manage to make some very quick Thank you cards and a couple of cards that were created because my sister Barb just needed to craft when I was there. Thank you Barb and Mavis for an wonderful crafting afternoon.

I made 4 quick Thank you cards before heading out on vacation, I used this project idea from Stamp TV and Gina K. I think they are the fastest cards I have ever made, I will admit that I messed up 2 before I finished the 4 cards, good thing it was only a single page of cardstock in the end. I am pretty sure there could be some amazing color combinations which this technique.

I love my new computer, love love love it says the tech geek :). I also love the fact that my 16 year old son tries to get close enough to drool on the keyboard in envy. I have rebuilt and used second hand computers for the past 6 years, I saved and saved and allocated some of my summer bonus to spoil myself with something new. I have for the past few years used external drives to store my most important stuff fearing the drives on the older machines may not be as reliable. A week after I had my new computer in place my main external drive failed… how dare it. It failed dead. Lucky for me I had done a full backup and was able to restore to a shiny tiny new drive but we did lose a week’s worth of email, card images and such. I don’t think this would have bothered me much except the drive failed 15 mins before bed on the night before we were leaving on a very early vacation trip the next morning. What a way to start vacation, I think I stewed about it for a day and a half before my brain completed the troubleshooting and I had it all worked out how to fix things. When we made a short overnight stop at home before moving on to the next part of our vacation I put my troubleshooting plan in action with quick and wonderful results. Picture me doing the happy dance :). I still lost some stuff be it is not as bad as losing it all. Sorry for all the geek speak...

Vacation was great, a wonderful few days on the Oregon coast, we as a family forgot to use the camera, I think I pulled it out one day on the beach and took some very second rate images not worthy of posting. Then my husband and I headed to Vegas minus young son who I know was having a great time with family in the Fraser Valley, this time the camera... did not come out of hiding at all. Finally minus young son and husband (I am so spoiled) I had a wonderful visit with friends and family all over the interior of BC, forgot the camera! Alas reality calls and I had to return to work, there is a bright side, it is still summer, the sun is still shining and thank goodness for weekends.

I love summer, this year the beautiful outside weather has pulled me away from indoor activities especially my craft room. In addition I have a calendar of all the cards I need to make throughout the year and unfortunately it was lost when I build us a new computer. I think I have missed a few birthdays, maybe an anniversary or two as well. For all those who may read my blog and are usually a recipient of a card and have not received one, I am very sorry. I am canvassing for dates I may have lost.

I have not made more than a card or two in the past month, I know I need too and every time I try to sit down and cut a little card stock the sun calls to me, what I really need is a storm day (shhh) I guess I should not say that too loudly and lose our glorious summer we have been having.

I think this is the cutest card, I used a thank you card from my Stamp'in Up! Rep as a template, then added my own touches.

I have been a bad blogger, time seems to be zooming on by so far this summer. The multi-page card was well received and looked good when it was all put together. I will post that in a few days, I needed to post something different to remind myself I know how to card make. My last few attempts did not make me happy.

This was a pretty simple card, the tag is 2-D as is the flowers. The flowers bottom layer is Designer paper then I added edges of glitter to the top level of green paper to try to tie it in with the beautiful My Mind's Eye paper.

Happy Canada Day :)

So this is it, this is the back of the card. I have not been asked to make any more 'pages' so I should be able to bind the card early next week if all goes well. I tried to bring all the pages in for the last page with the small squares.
