Thanks

Good Morning, I have a masculine thank you card to show today.

I used a basic layout and let the designer papers do most of the work.

I added some black cardstock to each of the panels, the top panel is popped up with foam tape. The Thanks is a die-cut that has the work and the word shadow, the shadow is die cut from black cardstock. I finished with a smattering of Nuvo Drops.

Supplies: White and black cardstock, Designer Paper - Honeybee, Simon Says Stamps die - Thanks, Nuvo Drops.

Sending Springtime Smiles

Good Morning and happy Friday... we are getting close to the end of February and closer to Spring. I have spotted Cherry Blossoms, crocuses, mini daisies and daffodils on
my walks. I love how it is lighter in the morning and in the evenings.

I used one of my favourite layouts for this card, I added a layer of dark gray cardstock to each of the panels.

I add a piece of scrap cardstock leftover from another card so I used to separate the upper and lower parts of the panel. I stamped the sentiment, added some cardstock then popped it up with foam tape. I finished the card with some black
gems

Supplies: White and grey cardstock, Designer Paper - Honeybee, PapertreyInk - Spring Hills, gems.

Cheers,
Nina

Close to my Heart - Card Kit #2

Hello again.. I seem to be on a posting roll and I hope I can continue.

I have the results of another card kit to share.

There are 4 sets of 4 cards, the difference with this kit is all the cards are A2 sized.

The kit was easy to put together and the instructions simple to follow.

As with the kit from yesterday's post, all the sentiments were pre-done. This kit has no colouring either.

Supplies: Close to my Heart card kit.

Close to my Heart - Card Kit #1

Good Morning all - I have a set of cards for my post this morning.

I usually don't purchase card kits that include all the fix'en as I prefer to create my own designs, I however, loved the pre-done sentiments that came with this kit. I have had the kits in my stash for a while now so it is doubtful they are still available.

A couple retreats ago I was only just on the med from a nasty cold and my creativity was not very inspirational. I was wise enough to add two of these kits into my supplies and it worked out perfectly.

I am not going to into detail on how these were created, I pretty much followed the instructions with minor tweaks here and there.

This kit makes 4 sets of 5 cards two of the cards are A2 sized but then the sizes vary and one is an octagon shape.

The sentiments were pre-done but I did need to colour flowers with pencils included with the kit. There is a blend of ribbon, vellum cutouts and little half pearls for accents.

Keeping Christmas Blog Hop - February 2020

Good Morning, with today being the 25th it is time for the February installment of the Keeping Christmas Blog Hop. I love this idea (Thank you Kelly) of keeping up with making holiday cards or projects throughout the year.

My card for today's post is pretty quick and easy, I have only embraced using the panels from Designer Paper but I have been enjoying the process.

With this card, I added a layer of black cardstock to each panel for a framed look. The paper pack had some sentiment as well so I cut and layered one of those as well. I finished the card by adding some sequins for embellishments.

Supplies: White and Black Cardstock, Designer Paper - Simple Stories, sequins.

Follow along with the other ladies in the Blog Hop, there are is a fabulous amount of inspiration to explore.

Above and Beyond

I love this Designer Paper from Brutus Monroe. I used my stitched rectangles to create a stitched frame, I then used the center for a popped up offset panel.

I added a layer of black in behind then I heat embossed the sentiment and added foam tape to that as well. I finished with some clear gems.

I used another of my favourite layouts for this card. Each panel has a layer of navy cardstock to add frame. Stitched rectangles and squares create even shapes and the stitching adds a design element.

The sentiment is layered and popped up with foam tape.

Happy Anniversary

Pretty delicate papers and hearts are the focus of today's card. I received these beautiful Japanese papers for this past Christmas and I wanted to see how they would hold up on a card.

I die cut the panels then cut the paper to fit inside the stitched borders. I die cut the multilayer heart and added foam tape in between the layers. Both panels also have a layer of foam tape to add in some dimension. I finished by stamping the sentiment directly on the panel.

The wavey lines on this paper have a pretty simmer to time so I did not feel the need to add any additional embellishments

Sound the Sirens

Today's card is a fun retirement card. I started with a kraft card base then I layered all the designer paper panels with some brown cardstock. I stamped the police officer and die cut from kraft, the only colour I added was some red lip colour.

The police card is stamped directly onto the back group. I added some black pearls onto the patterned paper dots.

Walking in a Winter Wonderland

Good Morning and Merry Monday, I have a really quick and easy card this morning using Designer Paper from Caio Bella.

I went a little crazy with this Designer Paper last fall, I love love love it. It makes creating a card so simple too.

I had the panels die-cut in advance, I was not feeling creative at a crop so I did some cutting and die-cutting of panels in preparation. I added a layer of brown cardstock in behind. I then added some twine and Nuvo drops to finish. The panel is popped up with foam tape.

Thanks a bunch

Good Morning I have a small masculine card for you today.

I apologize for the quality of the photo, this card was 'can you make real quick' then it was given within moments. The card is smaller, not quite A2.

I was working with a 6x6 paper pad at the time and I feel the paper was perfect for masculine card. I added some brown cardstock in behind the patterned paper leaving a gap between the panels for some brown twine.

I heat embossed the sentiment then popped it up with foam tape. I finished with some brown half pearls.

Kangaoo in the Forest

Last summer I created this card for a co-work who was moving to Australia. With my lack of posting last year this of course did not make it to my blog. When the reports of the devastating Australian wild fires started, it did not feel right to post my card.

Since, I have seen many cards created in support of the wildfires with that in mind I am posting my card.

I was thinking beautiful sunrise/sunset as I made this card, of course not devastation. I used Distress Ink to blend a create the background. I added some shimmery spritz as splatter. I die cut the silhouette from black cardstock, I then added foam tape to the entire panel.

Supplies: White and black cardstock, Paper Rose - Kanagroo in the Forest, misc Distress inks, shimmer spritz.

Freshly Made Sketches #420 - Love

I am playing along with the current Freshly Made Sketches challenge for today's card.
I had a picture in my mind for this sketch for a couple of days before I was able to put it together.

I started with the top panel and stamped the sentiment. I then added the quilted texture. I ran it through my Big shot twice, once to add texture with an embossing folder then a second time on its own to flatten it back out so the texture was not so bold.

I then heat embossed the heart on a second piece of cardstock and used the die cut to cut out the layers. I have not yet cut the hearts apart so they were perfectly spaced. I added foam tape between each layer to pop the hearts up.

I added foam tape to the back of the textured panel. I stamped and die cut the Love sentiment then finished the card by adding silver half pearls.

Supplies: White cardstock, Simon Says Stamps - Stamps and Die set, embossing folder, gems.
