Guitar Magic

Hello crafty friends, I have a musical card to share today.

I started with a panel created from a large sticker.

I die-cut the guitar and music element from a blend of black and kraft cardstock. I added interest to the kraft cardstock by inking the edges. I added some gems to the guitar headstock.

I added a sentiment strip, then finished the card with a smattering of gems.

Supplies: White, black and kraft cardstock, panel Sticker, guitar and musical element die cuts - unknown, The Ton - Sentiment strip, and gems.

Did you know: Ink daubers degrade over time? I pulled out my daubers to ink edges, and they all fell apart. Ink daubers (like foam sponge blending tools or bingo dot markers) break down primarily because of the solvents in their ink, exposure to light, and natural foam degradation.

Holidays

Hello crafty friends, I have a nice, easy design for my card for Merry Monday. I am using a sketch I found on Pinterest.

I started with a panel of blue-gray cardstock, and I added three panels of coordinating cardstock.

I added a sentiment panel, also layered with blue-gray cardstock and some foam tape. I attempted to create an embellishment on the sentiment strip, but it looks more like an attempted fix that I am not loving. I finished the card with some dew drops.

Supplies: White and blue-gray cardstock, Designer Paper - Scrapbook.com, Simon Says Stamp -  Holiday Typewriter, dew drops.

Martial Arts Birthday

Hello crafty friends, I have a sporty card to share today.

I was asked to create a Martial Arts inspired card for a friend. I started with three silhouette images of Martial Arts fighters from Cricut that I cut from black cardstock.

I cut a panel of patterned paper, then die-cut an outline of a brick wall. I also die-cut the wall from burgundy cardstock and added it to the panel. I layered that onto gray cardstock, I used some thinly applied liquid glue to add some texture to the bricks, and once that was dry added some black ink with a brush to add interest. I layered that entire panel with a piece of black cardstock.

I added the fighters and sentiment strip with foam tape, then finished the card with gems.
