Celebrate

Hello crafty friends, it is Washi tape Wednesday. I cannot believe we seemed to have flown through January.

For my post today, I am following one of Crystal's templates, you can find her post HERE.

Once I figured out what how I was going to create this card, yes, I will admit to a few misstarts.

I started the card with a wood frame border die-cut, I used the center piece from that die cut and added some washi tape, I used scrape strips the same colour as the frame to create
dissecting lines.

I added some silver twine in behind the sentiment, I finished the card with some gems.

Supplies: White and gray cardstock, washi tape, Hero Arts - Wood frame, twine, gems.

Amazing

Hello, crafty friends. I am using a template from Crystal's challenge for my post today. You can find her post HERE.

I started with a piece of blue cardstock, ran it through my big shot with an embossing folder, cut a rectangle element, and layered it with foam tape.

I added a piece of designer paper from a paper pack underneath, then tucked a winsome branch into the corner of the rectangle. I used a precut element from the same paper pad as the pattern paper and added foam tape.

I finished the card with some gems.

Supplies: White and blue cardstock, Designer Paper - Kaiser Craft, Simon Says Stamp - Winsome branch, embossing folder, gems.

Sweet Tea Shaker

Hello, crafty friends. For my post today, I am joining Crystal's challenge. You can find her post HERE.

This card turned out a little more 'busy' than is standard for me, but I had fun making it.

The centrepiece of the card for me is this adorable shaker Sweet Tea sticker from DoodleBug Designs.

I started with a piece of fun designer paper; I then added some coordinating brown plains and dots paper in strips.

I die-cut a heart from more coordinating paper, added the shaker sticker, and popped the heart up with foam tape. I added a sentiment strip adhered with foam tape, then finished the card with two hearts that came with the shaker stickers and added a few black gems.

Supples: White cardstock, Designer paper & Shaker sticker DoodleBug Designs, Simon Says Stamp - Sentiment Strip, Hero Art - Infinate Heart, gems.

Hey, Hey, crafty friends, Happy Washi tape Wednesday. For my post today, I am following Crystal's challenge. You can find her post HERE.

I already had some rectangle panels created with washi tape, so they were perfect for this card. I used die-cut leaves to cover the blank space in the center of the card; the leaves are all popped up with foam tape.

I used black gems to cover the cut marks where the leaves had stems and added a few extra for interest. The sentiment strip is also adhered with foam tape.

Hello

I am playing along with Crystal's current challenge for my post today. You can find her post HERE.

I love the simple layout that Crystal used for this template. I used a side folding card base and then cut off the 1 1/4 piece from the edge.

I used a Photoplay paper pack with matching solid colours for my card. I layered the three panels with a solid navy cardstock and then patterned paper. The sentiment panel had the extra piece of cardstock I cut off the card base.

I used a matching sticker from the paper pack for the sentiment and added some foam tape to pop it up, then added some enamel dots to finish the card.

Supplies: White cardstock, designer paper, solid paper, stickers, photoplay, and enamel dots.

Love your guts

Hello, crafty friends. It is Washi tape Wednesday, and I am playing along with Crystal's current challenge. You can find her post HERE.

Before settling on the final idea, I had a few false starts with this card.

I started with a piece of cardstock and added some wide washi tape. I cut the panel into sections and layered them onto a piece of black cardstock; I added some twine, and then I adhered the panel with foam tape.

I used a panel from the paper pad from yesterday's card and added a layer of black cardstock and foam tape.

I added the sentiment strip layered with black cardstock and foam tape. I finished the card with gems.

Merry Christmas

Hello, crafty friends and Merry Monday - I am playing along with Crystal's current challenge. You can find her post HERE.

This template or sketch is one of those designs that can be used again and again. I created two panels of designer paper and then cut them diagonally at the same time. I then glued the top of one of the panels to a coordinating panel of designer paper; I did the same with the alternate bottom piece.

I cut a strip and piece of designer paper from the paper pack and added it along the seam of the upper and lower panels.

I trimmed down one of the premade panels, then added a mat from the layers piece of designer paper and adhered the panel with foam tape. I used a sentiment strip with some foam tape, then finished the card with silver half pearls.

Supplies: White cardstock, Designer Paper - Carta Bella, Simon Says stamp - Sentiment strip, half pearls.

Celebrate

Hello, crafty friends. I am playing along with Crystal's current challenge. You can find her post HERE.

This template was nice to follow, especially as I wanted to use the large sticker for the focal point. I started the card with a piece of designer paper, then added a scalloped edge sticker and a panel of cardstock across the center.

I layered the sticker with a circle of cardstock and foam tape to pop it up. I finished the card with a sentiment strip and some gems.

Happy Birthday

Hello, crafty friends. I am playing along with Crystal's current challenge. You can find her post HERE.

I took my own path, and this card still looks enough like the original. I can fake it. One, I am horrible at following measurements when it comes to cutting elements. Two, my patterned paper has this pretty linen print, so I did not add the extra texture that would be provided by using an embossing folder:

I started with designer paper with a beautiful scenic image. I made an attempt to cut it into the measurements provided by Crystal.

I glued those down onto a piece of black cardstock and then trimmed it down because I did not quite line everything up correctly; I then added a layer of black cardstock to create a thin mat.

I used a sentiment strip and added black and white cardstock layers to create a frame, then adhered that to the panel with some foam tape. I finished with some dew drops.

Supplies: White and black cardstock, Designer Paper - Paper Rose, Simon Says Stamp - Sentiment strip, dew drop.

Coffee

Hello, crafty friends - I am playing along with Crystal's current challenge. You can find her post HERE.

I am using the herringbone technique for my card; I used a couple of strips of dies to create two different-sized paper strips, selecting a variety of patterns with papers from a 6x6 paper pad.

I added the strips to a panel of cardstock, alternating sizes and patterns as I glued them down. I added a layer of brown cardstock to the panel.

I die cut a tag and adhered to the panel with foam tape, I added a piece of twine for interest. I stamped, die cut, and layered the coffee cut, which was also tacked down with foam tape.

I die-cut the sentiment and its shadow and used foam tape to adhere it. I finished with some gems.

Supplies: White and brown cardstock, Honey Bee - Designer paper, stamps, die-cuts and gems.

I started my card with a piece of designer paper and then added a layer of kraft cardstock; I added a panel of coordinating patterned paper across the center, also layered it with kraft cardstock and wrapped with some twine.

I used a premade sentiment panel from the paper pad, added a layer of kraft cardstock and adhered that with foam tape, then used coordinating ephemera for the flowers and butterfly, which are also popped up with foam tape. I finished the card with some iridescent dew drops.

I started my card with some wood grain patterned paper and added a layer of black cardstock.

I created the focal panel with some medium washi tape layered it with foam tape, and adhered it to the top half of a panel of black cardstock.

I then added some grid-patterned washi tape to a piece of vellum and adhered it across the bottom of the black cardstock panel.

I added some twine and a sentiment strip backed with foam tape, and I finished the card with some gems.

You Radiate Awesome

Hello, crafty friends - I am playing along with Crystal's current challenge. You can find her post HERE.

I loosely followed the template; I turned it to create a portrait card, and then I altered the dimensions. I started with a piece of cardstock and added some texture with an embossing folder that resembled a mandala. Then, layered it with foam tape.

I cut a piece of designer paper, added a layer of black cardstock to create an upper and lower border, and then adhered it with foam tape.

I added a strip of vellum, the sentiment that also popped up with foam tape and some gems.

I found that the white at the top and bottom of the card was a little too stark, so I gently added a little bit of colour with ink blending.

Supplies: White and black cardstock, vellum, Designer paper - My Blue Flamingo (Pinterest), Simon Says Stamp - Sentiment strip, gems.

Holiday Season

Hello, crafty friends. Merry Monday - I am playing along with Crystal's new challenge. Not only am I a few days behind, but I am going to jump out of order for today's post. You can find her post HERE.

I am cheating; this is the Christmas card I created for my husband this year.

I started with a panel of designed paper and layered that with brown and craft cardstock; the craft cardstock was die-cut using a stitched rectangle to add interest.

I die-cut an oval from vellum and then another from a piece of patterned paper, which I adhered together to the panel with foam tape; there is lots of dimension on this card.

I die-cut the but head from textured cardstock and adhered that to the ovals. I stamped and die-cut some holiday lights, I coloured them using distress markers and Wink of Stella, then treaded them through the antlers and adhered them with foam tape.

I finished the card with a sentiment strip that is layered with brown cardstock.

Supplies: White, brown and craft cardstock, Designer Paper - Echo Park, Simon Says Stamp - Sentiment Strip, Studio Katia - Christmas lights, American Crafts  - Open Book die-cut.

Hello, crafty friends - I am playing along with Crystal's new challenge. You can find her post HERE.

I started this card by doing the generation stamping on a piece of light gray cardstock; I laid that onto a piece of darker cardstock. I added some twine and a button.

I stamped the image onto a panel of darker gray cardstock.  I added foam tape to both panels to adhere them. I finished the card with a sentiment strip and some Nuvo drops.

Happy Happy

Hello, crafty friends - I am playing along with Crystal's new challenge. I am a few days behind, but I am still starting at the beginning. You can find her post HERE.

I definitely followed along with the template with a lesser level of complexity. I started with a piece of designer paper and added a layer of black cardstock.

I cut out the strips of paper from a different pattern for the design. I did not choose to use a pattern that would create an image as the card was put together, nor did I layer the panels. I loved the pattern of the paper, so I cut the piece so that I could see all the colour ranges, then flipped some of the pieces as well.

I used different thicknesses of foam tape for some of the pieces as I glued them down to give them different heights; I love how that turned out. I used a sentiment strip layered with black cardstock, then finished the card with some dew drop and adhered the whole panel with some foam tape.

Supplies: White and black cardstock, Designer Paper - Pink Fresh, Simon Says Stamp - sentiment strips, dew drops.

Hello, crafty friends - I have a Birthday card to share for today's post.

I started with a piece of navy cardstock and added a panel of designer paper with a forest scene.

I used a die cut to cut out a mountain scene that I mounted onto some acetate. I added some foam tape in behind and added it to the patterned paper.

I used a sentiment strip popped up with foam tape, then finished the card with some dew drops.

Supplies: White and navy cardstock, Designer Paper - Paper Rose, acetate, Penny Black - Mountains, Simon Says Stamp - Sentiment Strip, dew drops.

Happiest

Hello, crafty friends; it is Washi tape Wednesday.

I started the card with a panel of cardstock that I ran through my big show with an embossing folder to add some texture.

I ran that same panel through the big shot again, this time with a large leaf die, then added a layer of foam tape.

I applied washi tape to a second panel of cardstock that was slightly smaller than the embossed panel; I then added it to the bottom of the panel above.

I cut out a sentiment strip and added it with foam tape. I die-cut some flowers from a scrap of paper with washi tape on it; I adhered some with foam tape and others with glue. I finished the card with some gems.

Trip around the sun

Hello crafty friends - I had fun creating this birthday card for an avid traveler.

I started with a panel of designer paper and added a layer of dark brown cardstock. I layered a second panel of coordinating paper.

I added some twine; the paper pad has some smaller tag-like panels, so I used one of those and added a circle with a stamped compass that is layered with a piece of brown cardstock.

I used a sentiment strip that is popped up with foam tape, and I finished the card with some gems.
