Autumn

I am back; you did not expect that did you? I had to play along with Crystal's challenge.

It is the fourth day of the “Challenge”; today, we are creating a fun fold card. I have never been good with creating fun fold cards so be prepared to be amazed :) ..not really, but I do like what I put together, all in one go, with zero errors (I know, shocker, that is the amazed part :).

I created a fold-back pop-up card; I used Robyn's tutorial as a guide; You can take a peek at the tutorial to get all the details.

I wanted an Autumn card, and the paper pack had some cutouts I wanted to use, so I adjusted the measurements to accommodate. Two of the papers I chose, the front panel and the one tucked beside it have beautiful gold highlights that don't get picked up by the camera.

Supplies: White, brown, orange cardstock, Designer paper - DCWV(Harvest Delight), gold half pearl.

Did you know: Fall was called “harvest” because of the “harvest moon” that occurs when the full moon is closest to the autumn equinox.

Snow Day!

Merry Monday, crafty friends; I have a quick and easy card for my post today.

I started with a patterned paper panel, then used a smaller panel and ran it through my Cuttlebug with a die cut.

I added a sentiment strip popped up with foam tape. Easy peasy lemon squeezy, right. I might add some gems later, but right now, I like the simple design.

Supplies: White cardstock, Designer Paper - Echo Park, Stampin' Up! - Forever Forest.

Your day

Good morning crafty peeps, day three of “challenge”, today we are using something new. Let me introduce you to Spellbinders Kaleidoscope Plaid die cuts.

I started by creating a blended background with Distress Oxides, I spritzed with some shimmer spritz and then some black ink splatters.

I die cut the Kaleidoscope panels and adhered them, then die cut a blooming stem and added the blooms in silver.

The sentiment is a sentiment strip popped up with foam tape. I finished the card with some gems.

Supplies: White and silver cardstock, Spellbinders Kaleidoscope plaid and Sealed Blooming Stems, Distress Oxides, Shimmer Spritz, gems.

Did you know: Goodbye has the etiology of meaning, “God be with you,” so saying goodbye is bestowing a blessing.

Hello crafty friends, it’s another challenge post today, the theme is to use three colours on your card.

For my card I used a zentangle image, thank you Pinterest.

I used my Zig Clean color markers, 031, 037, and 036. I wanted the image to pop so I layered it with black and white cardstock. I added a sentiment strip that is popped up with foam tape.

 

I finished the card with some gems.

Birthday

Happy Friday crafty friends, welcome to September. I am playing along with a challenge for todays card.

Crystal is doing a 30 day challenge for September, a card a day for the month, the theme for today is Birthday.

I started with some gray cardstock that I added texture to with an embossing folder. I cut two panels of patterned paper glued them together and adhered them to the panel with some foam tape. 

I tucked some leaves and a flower under the panel then used a sentiment strip for the greeting, I added a layer of cardstock and popped it up with foam tape. I finished the card with some gems.

Supplies: White and gray cardstock, Simon Says Stamp sentiment strip & Etched meadow flower and leaves, gems.

Hello

It's washi tape Wednesday, and I have a fun layered card to share today.

I pulled out my stitched rectangles for today's card. I started with a navy blue panel, then die cut a second panel in white, smaller. I added strips of washi in varied colours in each corner, trimming them with a pen knife.

I die-cut a second white panel in a smaller size and ran it through my Big Shot with an embossing folder. I adhered a washi tape acetate flower; the sentiment is a sentiment strip on acetate and adhered with foam tape. I popped the panel up with foam tape as well.

Good Morning and Merry Monday - Today's card is all about Tim Holtz. It was not intentional, I was in need of  patterned paper for my card and I pulled out a paper stash Christmas Noel paper pad. The paper gave me thoughts of vintage holiday which then had me reaching for my Tiny Text Christmas stamp set for the sentiment.

My layout is simple layers, I die cut two panels of designer paper, one slightly smaller than the other so that both were showcased. I die cut them in a way that displayed the inked edges.

I popped the second panel up with foam tape. I stamped the sentiment and angled it on top of the second panel.

Happy Birthday

Simple cards are sometimes perfect for those days you want to craft, but you are missing that crafty mojo.

For my card today, I needed a birthday card, a simple design well suited for the recipient, and the pattern perfect as the paper did all the work. My poor paper stash feeling second fiddle to washi tape these days.

I die-cut a panel of patterned paper, then added a layer of Simon Says Stamp Luxe Glitter to create a frame. I stamped the sentiment on a piece of scrap from the patterned paper and popped it up with foam tape.

I finished the card with some clear gems. 

The photo does not do the colours justice; the luxe glitter is perfect for the soft colours of the patterned paper.

Oh no, I missed Washi Tape Wednesday. Let's catch up. For my card I played with some coffee themed Washi tape.

I started with a panel of white cardstock and added a layer of brown cardstock to create a small frame. I chose the images and I wanted to use, cut them out of the tape then flipped the upside down on so I could use add some ink splats to the cardstock but have the space for shape of the images untouched.

I added the washi tape images, stamped, layered and popped up the sentiment then finished the card with some brown gems.

Winter Wishes

Merry Monday crafty friends, I have another quick layout for my card today. It was not until I was taking the photo that my card has a bit of the wonkies. Perhaps snowperson was into the winter grog.

Kidding of course, apparently my skilled for lining things up were taking a break, I am still happy with the card.

I started with a panel of plaid patterned paper and added a layer of black cardstock, I added a layer of burgundy paper from the same paper pad across the center.

The snow person panel is also matted with black cardstock and then popped up with foam tape.

I used a sentiment strip with a layer of burgundy paper and foam tape.

Supplies: White and black cardstock, Designer Paper - Photoplay, Simon Says stamp - Sentiment Strip.

Did you know: Everyone had a unique smell. Identical twins smell so alike that most times, only trained dogs can tell the difference.
