Walking in a winter wonderland

Hello crafty peeps, and Merry Monday. The card for today's post is one of those, if you have a paper pad with all the requirements, you are golden.

With my wee little obsession with 6x6 paper pads I have been in a little bit of heaven with more and more paper pad vendors including sentiment panels in the paper pads, it makes for sweet simple cards and everything coordinates.

I cut the base panel and added a layer of black cardstock to it. I did the same with the cross panel and the sentiment panel. I added some foam tape to the sentiment panel and then finished the card with some tiny snowflake embellishments.

Supplies: White and black cardstock, Designer paper - Echo Park, snowflake embellishment.

Brave wings

Hello crafty friends - I have a short post to share today.

I am seriously loving Washi tape right now. When I first picked up this little roll of swallows I did not know how I would use it. I love how this inspirational card turned out.

I laid down strips of washi tape some with slight gaps between them and some over lapping. I added some embossed lines to the cardstock for texture (Thank you Crystal, for that little tidbit of inspiration). I added the sentiment that is popped up with foam tape, then added some black gems. That whole panel is popped on the card base with some foam tape. 

Supplies: White cardstock, Stampendous - Tiny Text, gems.

Birthday Bash

Good morning crafty friends, it has been a heartbeat and a half since my last post, work, gardening, life and maybe a little vacation have kept me busy.

I have a short stack of cards on the side of my desk to post. At the last retreat I attended, I challenged myself to make my way through a 6x6 designer paper pad, this is one of the cards I created.

I used a simple layer for my template. Both layers of patterned paper have a layer of black cardstock for a small frame. The top layer is also popped up with foam tape. I cut one of the Happy Birthdays from the patterned paper and popped it up with foam tape to stand out. I finished the card with some black gems.

Supplies: White and black cardstock, Designer Paper - Honey Bee (Birthday Bash), foam tape, gems.

Silent Night

Good Morning and Merry Monday - I have a quick and easy panel card for today's post. I think sometimes the most simple card is perfect.

I layered this panel from a paper pack with pieces of silver and black cardstock then mounted it with foam tape. I added some clear gems and a single red one to finish.

Supplies: White and black cardstock, silver paper, Designer Paper - Echo Park, gems.

Did you know: Mosquitoes can fly through raindrops without getting hit.

Pawsitivity is Key

Aren't these little cats adorable? These were a fun little addition that was slipped into my order from the Washi Tape store. Truth be told, I had no clue what I was going to do with them but this card just sort of crept into my creative zone.

I started with a panel of cardstock that I die-cut using a background die. I then used the circle panel die to cut out the circles. I added foam tape to the back of the panel and layered it on some patterned paper. 

I added the little washi tape cats, then stamped the sentiments on the same patterned paper as the background and popped them up with foam tape.

I finished the card with some black gems.

Happy Holidays

Good Morning and Merry Monday, I had intended to play along with last week's challenge over at Tuesday Morning Sketches but the weekend got away from me and I forgot to post it. 

This is a nice simple layout, that is easy to reproduce. I started with a dark gray panel then added the brick pattern designer paper. I cut a second panel then added a large chevon to the bottom, this panel is popped up with a layer of foam tape.

I heat embossed the sentiment on a piece of dark grey cardstock, then added two small leaf watermarks to the ends of the panel with Versamark.

The camera does not pick up the beautiful fine details of these papers, I did want not to add any additional embellishments.

Supplies: White and gray cardstock, Designer Paper - Paper Rose, Papertray Ink - Keep It Simple Happy Holiday.

Wonderful Birthday

Hello, Hello craft friends, I liked the layout of the card I made a couple of weeks ago so much I recreated it.

I started with a blue layer of card stock, I then die-cut a piece of white cardstock with a background plate die-cut.

I die-cut two small rectangular pieces from patterned cardstock and I die-cut a larger rectangle from vellum for the middle panel.

I used the privet branch die-cut and added foam tape behind the leaves, and I used the leaves to hide the glue adhering the vellum panel.

I stamped the sentiment and layered that with blue cardstock and foam tape, then completed the card with some blue gems.

Hello, Hello crafty friends - I have a sweet and simple card for my post today.

I started with a panel that I added some texture to with a 3D embossing folder. I added some washi tape along the right-side panel then added that panel to a layer of black cardstock.

I die-cut some leaves and heat embossed the sentiment, both are adhered with some foam tape. I finished the card with black Nuvo drops.

Supplies: White and black cardstock, Washi tape - The Washi Tape store & X.Mo, Simon Says Stamp - Exotic Vines & Amazing, Echo Park- Falling Branches, Nuvo drops.

Did you know: Typewriter is the longest word that can be made using the letters on only one row of the keyboard.

Cherish the Season

Hello, Hello crafty friends, Merry Monday. I am posting some cards I made as a batch last year. I don't do that very often for those of you who know me.

I started with a card that I made a friend who loves cycling; I had found a holiday bag for her gifts that was black, silver, gold and had a bike in th  snow. I wanted to create a card that would match the bag.

I started with some Tim Holtz Black Kraft cardstock; I am not sure if this is a newish product or not, but I fell in love  ith it. I heat embossed the background trees with gold and silver embossing powder (that I blended)for the.

I then added some splatter in gold and sil er as well. I used die-cuts to create the hills and bicycle.

I blended some gold and silver twine and tied that around the main panel. I added hills which are popped up with foam tape. I add d foam tape to the bike as well.

The sentiment is heat embossed with the same blended embossing powders and has a layer of foam tape. I use a thin foam tape, but the card still has bulk which was perfect as it was hand-delivered. I finished the card with some gems on the bicycle wheels.  I liked how this card turned out.

For the larger production of cards, I replaced the bike with snowflakes and the sentiment varies slightly. For the snowflake I dipped the tip to add some embossing powder. I varied where the trees stamped and there are number of different sentiments so each card was slightly unique.

I created matching chocolate boxes to go with the group of cards. I used my Silhoette to cut out the boxes.

Tuesday Morning Sketches #642 - Hello

Hello, Hello crafty friends. I am playing along with Tuesday Morning Sketches.

I really like this sketch, the Echo Park paper pad that I used suited it perfectly for what I was looking for. It is part of the Echo Park card kit called Day in the Life.

I die-cut the navy panel, then did the same for two pieces of coordinating designer paper from the paper pad. I then cut both panels at an angle to create the two pieces for the card. I will use the reverse pieces for a second card.

The paper pad had some fabulous sentiment panels and the hello stamp is from the coordinating kit.

I die-cut the flutter vine and glued it down, I heat embossed hello in white on navy then I added some foam tape to the back of both sentiment panels and adhered them. I finished the card with some dew drop-type gems.

Supplies: White and navy cardstock, Designer Paper and stamp set- Echo Park, Memory Box - Flutter Vine, gems.

Did you know: You can use the inside o fa banana peel to polish leather shoes and silverware and stop mosquito bites from itching.
