A simple, elegant Thank you card. I made wonderful use of the lovely patterns on the Memory Box Designer papers, why mess with perfection. I stamped the Pussy Willow branch on a extra piece of the Designer paper then used my Spica glitter markers to colour. There is a nice little sparkle that does not show up in the image, I did not have a light gray so I used blue. I don’t mind, I think now I could have used my light gray Tombo then a clear glitter but I like the blue.

Supplies: Cream and blue cardstock, Memory Box – Frond, Rubber Stamp Ave.-Willow branch, Inkadinkado-Thank you, misc-green fuzzy floss, Recollections blue pearls.

I found some very nice nature stamps at the local stamp store this past weekend that I hope to ink up a little this looonngg weekend :) another little wooden dint in my pocket book. Expensive yes, sheer pleasure of playing with my stamps and putting together a card… priceless. Cheesy right, darn toot’en.

Happy hump day,

Cheers,
Nina

I think I have just about completed my Easter cards, although I did find some Vintage Easter paper in a local stamp store this weekend that I know I will need to make something with it. I played with a number of my Tombo markers on this stamp to get the multi-colors. I sponged some colour around the edges to help the focal image stand out.

I used Microsoft Word to print out the Happy Spring.

Supplies: Cream and brown cardstock, Memory Box – Spearmint, Rubber Stampede – Tulip Bouquet, Close to my Heart – Chocolate Ribbon and Pearls.

Have a great Monday.

Fishing anyone? This may look familar, I did make a card similar to this with a different DP. Really though this fish says it all. This photo is a little dark, the card has a little more brightness to it but I think very masculine.

Supplies: Brown, green, green J and cream cardstock, American Traditional – Great Outdoor Rustic signs DP, Great impressions – Fly Fish, The Artful Stamper – Happy Birthday, Misc brown brads, misc ribbon.

I made a light green variation of this card that I actually like more, my husband stole it away before I could take a picture of it.

I used Inkdinkado Perennials stamp with Concord Grape Versamagic on Memory Box designer paper to add a little something. I then added purple gems and light moss coloured pearls to accent.

Shading the edges around the image blended nice with the background, I finished with some ribbon loops. The inside has a stamped Congratulations.

Supplies: Cream, green and purple cardstock, Designer Paper -Memory Box-Frond, Kolette Hall-She’s expecting, Inkadinkado-Perennial Prints, Kaiser craft-Gems and pearls, misc ribbon.

I had a little stetch of Memory Box product driven cards. With this card I played with different Tombo markers on the stamp to get the different colors when stamping, I think I had the most fun with the flower though.

The last Close to my heart gathering, our hostess introduced to us Create a Shade paint (Pearl). I mixed a small amount of that in a Ranger mini mister with some alcohol and a half drop of Ranger Stream Alcohol ink. This created such a pretty light pearlized fine mist that when it dryed on the flower is was all glimmery with just a hint of blue that matched the DP perfectly.

I think the best lesson for me when I make my cards to to try and do. It not like it not fun right.

Supplies: Cream and brown cardstock, Designer Paper -Memory Box(Spearment), Memory Box-Spring Sings and Bird Collage, Close to my Heart - White daisy, misc dotted ribbon, misc gem.

The make and take session, not really a class is to demo new products. I already love Memory Box products, they speak to my love of nature/natural cards so it was not a stretch for me to be enchanted.

You can't get any more basic then using your DP as the focal point. I love the 6 x 6 paper collections for spring, Gossamer(this is the one I used for this card), Frond and Spearment. I layered the DP on brown cardstock, and did the same for the sentiment which is popped up with Scotch foam tape. I added some ribbon and brown Glitter Dome stickers and I was done.

Supplies: Cream and brown cardstock, Designer Paper -Memory Box(Gossamer), Memory Box-Spring Sings, misc brown dotted ribbon, Glitter Dome -Crystal Stickers.
Happy Friday

I signed up for a make and take at the local stamp store, the products that we used are all from the new Memory box spring collection. For the first card the focus was on alternate ways to create an image without using stamps, for this card we used a craft knife to cut away paper to make the stem of the Dandelion.

We used Star Dust Stickles on the Dandelion and the small accent flowers.

Supplies: Green and white cardstock, Designer paper - Memory Box Frond, Memory Box - Dandelion Ball Combo, misc purple ribbon, Stickles, VersaMagic – Concord Grape.
