Warm winter wishes.

A super quick card for the post tonight, the weekend got away from me and I did not get any crafty time but I wanted to get a small time with my supplies.

This is a simple panel card, I cut a panel of patterned paper from a PhotoPlay sheet then cut a coordinating sentiment panel that I popped up with foam tape. I added some twine between the layers then added some gems.

Supplies: White and black cardstock, Designer Paper - PhotoPlay, gems, twine.

Keeping Christmas September 2020 - Winter Wonderland

Good Morning all and welcome to September's edition of Keeping Christmas Blog Hop.

I found a Tim Holtz Idea-ology Christmas paper pad in my stash the other day, is it new? is it old? I really don't know, a sign perhaps I shop through my crafty stash for a while. Anyhoo, the patterns inspired me.

My design is simple, layers with more layers and again a few more layers. Each panel of patterned paper is backed by some brown cardstock. I added some ribbon to the large flag, I stamped the sentiment and layered it with brown cardstock and foam tape.

Supplies: White and cardstock, Designer Paper - Idea-ology, Penny Black - Christmas Cheer.

There is an abundance of inspiration as you hop along, be sure to stop and visit everyone below for more crafty goodness.

Happy Halloween

I had so much fun creating this card. I started with an embossed black cardstock layer, then cut a piece of patterned paper, I snipped the bottom off and flipped it over for the bottom layer of the panel. For the top panel I used a stitched square to create a small frame, the panel has a layer of foam tape in behind it.

I cut a square from a coordinating piece fo cardstock and stamped the sentiment on it. I die cut the bats and added some gems for there eyes.

I am playing along with this week's Tuesday Morning Sketches. I started with a bottom panel covered in a delightful coffee themed pattern. I used a wacky stitched rectangle to cut a second panel from a coordinating piece of paper and I added in a layer of foam tape in behind.

I stamped and fussy cut some coffee cups from some scraps from the same paper pad and added foam tape behind those as well. I stamped the sentiment and finished with some light brown gems.

Brr it's cold outside

It is time for a Merry Monday card, I went with a simple layer for my card. I layered three different patterns from a Photoplay set, using varied sizes of panels so that the one below was visible.

I stamped and die cut a coffee cup but then added a circle and square below it. I heat embossed the sentiment then added some Glossy Accents to the coffee cup.

Supplies: White cardstock, Designer Paper - Photoplay, Simon Says Stamp - Winter Warmth, Glossy Accents.

Trailblaze Challenge Update

I accepted a challenge this summer, in truth, it was a challenge to myself but still.

I signed up for the Trailblaze Challenge for Make a Wish, raising funds for a wonderful cause and getting my step on is a win-win in my eyes.

I logged 200KM for Make a Wish and almost made it to the get Strength Badge for donations so I am pretty pleased with myself. I celebrated with a 10KM walk along the waterfront this morning.

There are still two days left if you would like to help me celebrate with a donation. It really is a good cause, every $ goes towards making someone's wish come true.

Anything is possible

How about a little pumpkin spice latte for the card tonight, I love these fall patterns and I had a craving for a latte today that was unfulfilled so I made do with a card.

I am playing along with Tuesday Morning Sketches.

I used two patterns from a 6x6 paper pad for the base layer adding some brown cardstock, I added another thin piece of a pattern along the middle. I had the coffee die cut in a bowl on my desk that worked perfectly for part of the sentiment.

I stamped the coffee stain then heat embossed the sentiment and popped it up with foam tape. I heat embossed the coffee cup in brown on three different scraps of cardstock and patterned paper then paper pieced to altogether, popping up sections and then the whole cup.

I finished the card with a tiny little heart sticker. A fun fact I used Emerald Creek Just Java Aroma embossing powder that smells like coffee once it is heated.

Supplies: White and brown cardstock, Designer Paper - Pink & Main, Verve - Better with you, My Next Die - Coffee, heart sticker.

Fun Holiday Season

Where did that weekend go? I was not ready for a Monday yet, and yet here we are and I have a holiday card for this Merry Monday.

I may have picked up this little treasure of a paperback on a drive up the Island on Saturday. I have to say I do love Photoplay papers, they just get me all enthused to create something.

I wanted to showcase the papers so I did a pretty simple layout for today's card. Easy layers with a layer of brown cardstock. I added a layer of foam tape to the top panel, sentiment and snowflakes. I finished the card with some gems on top of the snowflakes.

Supplies: White and brown cardstock, Designer Paper - Photoplay, Penny Black - Christmas Sentiments, Memory Box - Rizza Snowflake, gems.

Your special day

I dug into one of my newer Kaisercraft paper pads for this card, the little punch-out pieces in the back of the paper pad make it so easy to put together a card. I added a layer of black cardstock to each of the panels and some foam tape to the top panel.

I also added foam tape to the tag and sentiment, the card was finished with some black gems and a little twine.

Supplies: White and black cardstock, Designer Paper - Kaisercraft, gems, twine.

See Possibility Everywhere

I am playing along with Tuesday Morning Sketches for this card. I pulled out my new Paper Rose Hud dies which I think worked perfectly for this sketch. I die cut the Hud outline in gray than the Hud sections in black, alternating adding foam tape to the sections.

I glued Hud to a designer paper panel then layered that with black and then gray cardstock. I added some Nuvo drops to finish the card.

Today is all about you!

I love how this card turned out, the background is a piece of patterned paper with an ombre effect on it. I used a script stamp to add some text to the panels. I used a frame from Simon Says stamp to add in a thin black frame and used a layer of black cardstock in behind the panels.

I stamped the sentiment and added a layer of cardstock and foam tape to pop it up. I stamped then die cut the flowers from patterned paper and added some foam tape in behind. I finished the card with some blue and purple gems.

Take a hike

I had this paper pad sitting on the corner of my desk while I was cleaning up and as I flipped through it, I was inspired so this is what I came up with.

I started my card with a large panel of designer paper then layered it with brown paper. I die cut a swirling circle and glued it down. Each of the small panels are cut from a piece of the patterned paper I added a layer of foam tape in behind each of them.

I think I will leave it as is with no additional embellishments and let the little panel tell the story.

Supplies: Cream and brown cardstock, Designer Paper - Carta Bella, Sizzix die cut.

Happy Winter

Good Afternoon and Merry Monday, I have a quick panel card for you today. As I was unpacking from a weekend of crafty retreat goodness I pulled out a 6 x6 paper pad that at the moment inspired me.

I  have really been loving all the sentiment panels that some of the paper lines have been creating, they allow you to make fabulous cards in minutes.

I cut out a panel of patterned paper and layered it with some black cardstock. I did the same with the sentiment panel and also added a layer of foam tape in behind. I finished with some half pearls.

Supplies: Cream and black cardstock, Designer Paper - Simple Stories, pearls.

Big Cups

I have a cute and quick card for all of you coffee lovers out there. I love this patterned paper but I had not used the bolder images sheets yet. As I was sorting through my stamps I found this sentiment and it was perfect to go with the patterned paper.

I used a die-cut for the panel then added a layer of dark brown cardstock in behind. I heat embossed the sentiment in white on brown and popped it up with foam tape.

Supplies: White and brown cardstock, Designer Paper - Unity, Technique Tuesday - Sassy Coffee.

Congratulations

My creativity was a little stumped when I started this card when I found this basic background paper it kicked me off. I liked the colour of the card more than the pattern for what I was trying to achieve. I added a layer of navy cardstock in behind.

I heat embossed the police card with blue/black ink and clear embossing then added a layer of foam tape in behind.

I die cut the road from navy and white, then added a row of trees in behind. I finished the card with a simple sentiment that is popped up with foam tape.

The card ended up with a wintery snowy look which was not intended but I like how it turned out in the end.

Supplies: White and navy cardstock, Designer Paper - Paper Rose, You Next Stamp - Freeze!, MFT - Hit the Road, Hero Arts - Congratulations.

Just Because

I had a vision for this card, as I was building it in my mind I did not expect the final card to be gray but I like how it turned out.

I started with a panel die cut with stitched rectangles, I then die cut the center with a thin frame die cut and cut a frame from silver glitter cardstock.

I added a script text to the background of all the panels and created a second panel that I used to die cut the flowers and leaves. The flowers and leaves are stamped in dark gray ink

I added gray ink to the edges of all the panels and the flowers. I popped up some of the flowers with foam tape and then added some gems. I heat embossed the sentiment in white on black. I adhered the whole panel to a gray cardstock base.

Supplies: Gray cardstock, Stampendous - Script, Simone Says Stamp - Stitched Rectangle and Frames, Hero Arts - Many Everyday Messages, gems
