Muse Challenge #110

Look at me playing along with a challenge just for the craftiness of it.  Don't get me wrong I love being on the teams as a DT member, heck in most case it is the only excuse to get my butt into the craft room these days. Sometime though it is all about playing along.

I am playing along with Muse today, I love Tenia's card it was fantastic inspiration for me... I have been missing that as of late.

I went with a masculine style card, using a hexagon stamp. I used similar patterned paper along the side. I used MS Word for the sentiment and a typewriter font, I used chunky cuts on the layers and staples hold them on. I finished with some twine.

Supplies: White and black card stock, Designer Papers – MME, Fiskars- Hexagon Sentiments, twine.

Thank you for playing along.

Tuesday Morning Sketches #292

We are so close to the first day of spring, everything is so green and pretty right now. With it being Tuesday we have a new Tuesday Morning Sketches for you this morning. Debbie has generously offered to be this week's sponsor.

I flipped and turned the sketch to accommodate this pretty image which I die cut from a corner of a 12 x 12 designer paper page, the panels turned out a bit larger then the sketch is designed for but I love how it turned out.

I added lots of layers created with a stitched rectangle die cut. I die cut the butterfly twice and popped it up with foam tape adding some gems for the body. I added some texture to the strip of card stock across the center of the card and I finished with the sentiment.

The blue card stock has some small silver specks in it that the camera would not pick up but I added a touch of Wink of Stella to the butterflies body to blend it in.

Supplies: Cream and blue card stock, Designer Paper - Pion, Simon Says Stamps- die cut and stamps, Memory Box die cut, embossing folder.
