I bought some kayaks earlier this fall and yesterday was a stunning day to try them out for their maiden voyage. The lake was so calm and it was sunny and warm for the end of Oct at about 16. The fall colours were so pretty.

Be Brave

I used a nice bold pattern for this simple card. This is a smaller sized note card about 3.5" by 4.5, I have a pack of smaller envelopes in my stash that I had not used yet so I made some cards to match :).

I added a layer of deep blue cardstock behind the designer paper, I stamped the sentiment and then popped it up with foam tape. I finished with some shimmery sequins.

Supplies: White and blue card stock, Designer Paper - Echo Park, Simon Says - Uplifting Thoughts, sequins.

I had the most amazing week with my sister visiting, we did not do a lot of crafting but we sure did do a lot of out of doors things. The weather was stunning, my sister headed back home early this morning and she took the sun with her. I can here the pitter patter of the rain outside.

The rain is predicted to hang around for tomorrow as well, which is perfect so that I can make a card for World Card Making day.

Merry Monday Christmas Card Challenge #259

Welcome to another challenge for Merry Monday, this week Deanne is our hostess and her challenge is to Add a Christmas tree to your card.

I love pattern papers, surprise surprise ( I actually don't think I am alone ;)). So when I have chance I will make the paper do all the work and I love this fun paper by My Mind's Eye. When I pulled this sheet of 6x6 out, there were a number of trees on it, enough to catch my eye.

Then I started creating my card, working on the design but the trees faded into the background for a few moments. When it came time to start putting it together I though to myself, where have all the trees gone... I have only one left that was visible. HA.

So I have one teeny tiny tree right in the middle.

Simple layers with a easy design. I added green matting to all the layers and popped the sentiment up.

White and green cardstock, Designer Paper - My Mind's Eye, Woodware- Sentiment.
