Mirror Hearts

Good Morning and Happy Friday - I have a third Valentine's Day card to share.

I found some red mirror cardstock in my stash and it happened to tie nicely into the shiny half hearts on the designer paper I wanted to use.

I cut a layer of mirror cardstock, then a layer of black. I die cut a heart into the designer then added foam tape to popped it up onto of the other two layers.

I die cut a heart from a coordinating piece of designer paper that also had a shiny patterned and layered that inside the space on the designer paper.

I finished the card with a sentiment.

Scripted love

Good day - I have a second Valentine's Day card to share. Simple layered panels made this a relatively easy to put together.

I cut each of the patterned panels then added a layer of black cardstock. I stamped the sentiment and layered that as well. There is foam tape on the sentiment panel and the swirl of hearts panel. I finished the card with some Glossy Accents on some of the hearts.

Supplies: White and black cardstock, Designer Paper - Gina K Designs, Sentiment - Penny Black.

Happy Valentine's Day

A quick card for this post, I did little run of Valentine's cards this week.

I love the vintage look of these papers from Authentique. I cut a panel of black cardstock, then a panel of patterned paper.

I cut a second smaller panel of black cardstock and then used an edge die cut to created the scalloped edge with stitching. I layered in a second piece of patterned paper. I stamped the sentiment and layered it wit some black cardstock then popped it up with foam tape.

I finished with a few black gems.

Supplies: White and black cardstock, Designer Paper - Authentique, My Favorite Things - Scallop basic stitch, Stampendous-Greeting Galore, Gems.

Grateful for you

I created a buckle card for today's post. I used lots of layers, covering most surfaces of the card with exception being the back and the inside of the fold.

I started with the small panel that would tuck into the front of the card. I had a sentiment panel from the paper pad that worked perfectly. I added a layer of brown cardstock for a mat.

I added a layered panel in behind with coordinating designer paper, then I did the same with the front panel. I used a die cut to create the slot to slide the panel into then added some gems to the front panel.

The inside has a panel for writing on and a layer of brown cardstock for interest. After these photo's were taken I did add a trio of gems to the front panel below the slot to add interest.

Supplies: Cream and brown cardstock, Designer Paper - Simple Stories, gems.

I made a card!

It feels like a long time since I have been motivated to be creative, I am pretty happy that I finished a card last evening. My first in well over a month, that is a stretch for me as cardmaking is my happy place.

Crystal was doing a class on emboss resist so I joined in the fun. I already had a panel of watercolour paper that I had added some bends and twists too then soaked in some black tea to get a weathered look.

I used a background stamp that was the same size as the panel with some clear embossing powder. I then inked up the panel with a few different brown distress inks. The results were a rustic looking panel.

I heat embossed a sentiment in white on brown cardstock adding some foam tape to pop it up.

I then stamped and embossed in black a coffee cup on brown, white and kraft cardstock and fussy cut the pieces. I added some decorative stamping to the pieces and inked the edges of the kraft coffee cup sleeve and ran it through a crimper. I added some foam tape under the sleeve and the lid to give it a 3D effect.

I finished the card by added a layer of brown cardstock, die cut with a stitched rectangle and finishing by adding some brown half pearls. I added a layer for foam tape to the panel before mounting to a cream card base.

Supplies: Cream, white, brown and craft cardstock, Stampendous-Cling Coffee Background, Altenew-Sentiment Strips &Coffee with a splash, Verve-Better with you, Simon Says Stamp-Stitched Rectangles, pearls.
