Keeping Christmas - July 2019

Welcome back for the July edition of the Keeping Christmas Series.

I can't believe that summer is half over, the holiday season will be here in a hop, skip and a jump.

Isn't this little fox adorable, this is a little panel from the Photo Play papers I used. I added a layer of brown cardstock to each pane; then popped the top layer up with some foam tape.

I did the same for the sentiment and left the card simple and embellishment free.

Be sure to stop to see all the Keeping Christmas hop team member's creations.

Monochromatic Thanks

Pretty papers and fabulous script make this card fun to put together. I love the monochromatic look of the pattern on this paper. I used coordinating pages from a 6x6 paper pad, I added in a layer of black cardstock for a mat. To separate the panels I cut a thin strip of cardstock.

The sentiment is layered then popped up with foam tape. I finished with black crystals.

Christmas in July - Scrap n' Stamp July Challenge

There seems to be a ton of blog posts, YouTube videos and challenges galore for Christmas in July. How could I not play along with at least one challenge? So I am playing along with the Scrap n' Stamp July Challenge.

I can create holiday cards any time of the year, I miss the Merry Monday Challenge and having a card created each Monday with a nice stash of holiday cards near years end. I will be hurting for Christmas cards come the holidays. I had told myself I could try to keep up with the weekly card creation so I would be ready but then time goes missing and vroom we are in the oh dang time frame and the countdown was weeks past.

Anyhoo.. the card.

I spent some quality time with the ol' crafty supplies this weekend and this was the end result.

I used my stitched rectangle dies for the three panels, then cut designer paper to fit the frames. I heat embossed the sentiment and popped it up with foam tape. I finished with silver and gold sequins.

Happy Anniversary!

Its a cycle I think, me not honouring the craft goddess enough. I finally wandered into my craft room to get creative yesterday... I kinda had to as it is my Anniversary today and I could not be remiss and not make a card for my fabulous sweetie.

It felt terrific to get inky, how is it that you can forget that. Anyway, this is what I created, and I quite like it.

I started with the designer paper and used a stitched rectangle die to create a panel, at the same time, I had the stacked hearts die cut placed where I wanted it. I did not want to have to run the panel through my Big Shot more than once.

I added a layer of brown cardstock in behind then started placing hearts back into holes. Some were just glues, but others have some foam tape in behind. I stamped the sentiments and popped them up with foam tape. I finished with some Nuvo drops.

I am a little disappointed that the photo turned out so dark as the card is much lighter and brighter.
