Forget

It is time for Washi Tape Wednesday - I started my card by creating a panel and layering a couple of strips of washi tape on it. I think used square die cuts to cut a number of different sized squares.

I stamped and cut the sentiment then finished the card by adding some gems.

Hangin' with my gnomies

Good Morning and Merry Monday - I have a quick and simple card for my post this morning. I chose fun bright colours and patterns.

I struggle to create with bright colours and patters so I chose a simple layout so I would not get carried away.

I cut a the bottom panel and adhered it, choosing not to layer it with a mat. I cut a strip from a coordinating pattern to break up the pattern of the bottom panel.

The gnome is a panel from the same patterned paper pad. I added two sentiment strips and the card was done.

Supplies: White cardstock, Designer Paper - Photoplay, Simon Says Stamp - Sentiment Strip.

Tuesday Morning Sketches #703 - Smiling

Good Morning - I am playing along with the current Tuesday Morning Sketches challenge. I loved that I could pull out one of my mid width washi tape for this card.

I started with a panel with washi tape, and added it to a navy blue background panel. I then cut a second half panel for the top half of the card, I ran that through my Big Shot with a 3D embossing folder.

I had originally added ribbon along the middle of the card for that element but I was not happy with that so I replaced it with a thin strip of navy blue cardstock.

I added some foam tape to the back of the sentiment and finished the card with some gems. The foil on the sentiment messed with photo a little.

Supplies: White and navy blue cardstock, Washi tape - Washi Tape Shop, Spellbinders - Beautiful Blooms, Pink Fresh Studio - Foiled Sentiments, gems.

Happy Saturday - I am playing along with Tuesday Morning Sketches today, and they have paired up with Double Trouble Paper Crafting for a challenge.

My card took a few twist and turns as I worked through what I wanted. I have a few spare parts for later cards but I like how my card turned out.

Fresh Days of Spring

Washi tape Wednesday - and what a lovely day it is here on the island. The cherry blossoms are stunning and beautiful spring flowers are everywhere.

I started this card with an embossed panel, then created two additional panels. I used strips of blue, cream and tan washi to create a pattern on the lower panel. The second panel is created from one piece of wide washi tape.

I popped up a sentiment strip and added two branches on either side.

Supplies: White cardstock, washi tape, Simon Says Stamp - sentiment strip, embossing folder and privet branch.

Found on the wilds of my crafty desk, I don't think I have posted this card. I love these papers (though the manufacturer name alludes me at the moment).

I created a panel from brown cardstock using a stitched rectangle. I cut an peace of patterned paper to fit inside the stitching lines.

Happy Easter

I made a couple of these quick, smaller cards masculine cards. I had scraps of paper on my desk and they look Eastery, so I darkened the edges a little then ran it through my Big shot in an embossing folder to add some texture.

I stamped the eggs, added a little ink to the edges and adhered them with a wobbler. I stamped the sentiment, inked he edges and added some foam tape. I finished the card by adding turquoise Nuvo drops to the egg.

But first...

I love how this card turned out, I always struggle with this type of sketch because I never seem to get the measurements correct.

The papers I used are a digital file I purchased off Etsy, I cut two different patterns onto panels. I layered the panels on some brown cardstock, adding a strip of kraft cardstock in between the panels.

I layered the the brown cardstock panel on to a layer of kraft cardstock which was adhered to the card base. The sentiment is layered with brown cardstock and popped up with foam tape.

I love the darker style of this card, I don't recall the manufacturer of the designer papers or the die cut I used though.

I started with the bottom panel and added a layer of black cardstock to the patterned paper. I did the same for top panel and added foam tape and also added a trio of die cut daisies, two from patterned paper and a third from black cardstock which is popped up with foam tape.

Washi Wednesday all - this card was fun to make and easy to put together. I covered a panel of cardstock by adhering washi diagonally across the panel. I added a layer of light blue cardstock to the panel.

Amazing

Good Morning - I don't know what this technique is called but I have seen it out in the craftyverse and wanted to try it.

I picked up a pack of these cardstock a while back and had not broken into them yet, they are double sided and a little on the thin side but I like how they layered without adding too much bulk.

I started by die cutting three colours with circle die cuts, I glued them together and cut them in half. I rand a panel through my bigshot and a embossing folder. I adhered the layers half circles, added a sentiment and finished with some gems.

Simple but effective.

I have cards stored all over my craft room, and I finally did some sorting the other day and realized I have a good number that I have not yet posted so I am going to play a little catch up over the next few days.

This card was pretty simple to make, I cut two panels of coordinating patterned paper and adhered them to the card base, I added a strip from another piece of designer paper across the seam.

I then added a premade panel with foam tape and a sentiment strip. I finished the card by adding Glossy Accents to the word Baby and all the hearts.

Mirror Image

I am trying out a technique that I have been seeing out there in the craftyverse. I started by cutting two piece of cardstock, one in navy the other white.

I used my Misti to line up the floral image for both panels, then heat embossed the image, black on the white, silver on navy. I then cut the images in half and adhered then half-n-half on each card base.

I added a sentiment strip to each, the second card also has a layer of black cardstock backing the sentiment. I finished with a blend of silver and black gems.

I have a little anti-static power showing on each card for I will get that cleaned up.
