Oh What Fun

I found this sweet little snowman in my mailbox when I got home from work, I could not wait to put together a card.

This is from a new Photo Play paper pack and I love the patterned papers.

I cut the snowman panel and added the sentiment, then foam tape to the back, I cut the plaid panel then the snowflakes piece, I put it all together and finished with some sequins.

Have a cozy Christmas

I found some paper in a drawer that I rarely open to as a brand new pad from Hobby Lobby, I think it must be about three years old or so.

Anyway, I remember why I like it so much. These patterns are so Christmas in the country. I cut two panels of coordinating paper. I die cut a circle in brown cardstock, then punch out one of the Cozy Christmas circles from the pattern on the paper. I added some foam tape.

I finished with some new gems I got in the mail today for Ali Express, they are a gold/bronze colour which fit the papers perfectly.

Supplies: White cardstock, Designer Paper - The Paper Studio, gems.

I hit a milestone in the Trailblazer Challenge yesterday, I completed my first 25 kilometres, the goal is to walk or hike 100K by September 20th so I only have 75km to go.

I am so thankful for those who have supported me by donating and cheering me on for such a great cause. #TrailblazeCA.

Merry Christmas

Good Morning and Merry Monday, its the last week of July and the final week of Christmas in July. I have a nice stash of holiday cards but I will continue on with Merry Monday's and I imagine I will do a small rush closer to the holiday as well as I always do.

It was a pretty warm summer day here yesterday, the house got a little toasty which translated to only a so so sleep. Some random mosquito made it into the house, it must have been lost because we rarely get bugs, it found me though, I am always a tasty treat for those little bloodsuckers. You know when they seem to buzz around your ears then dodge away only to come back just as you are drifting off again. Sadly buzzy the 'quito did not survive my rath.

Anyways, you are visiting for a card and a card you shall get. I was up pretty early this morning so I made something quick and simple before setting down for work.

I found this paper pad from Pink Paislee the other day and it made for a perfect CAS card. I cut the panels out and layered them. I popped up the sentiment panel with foam tape then added some clear drops.

Supplies: White cardstock, Designer Paper - Pink Paislee, drops.

Jingle all the way

Good evening, I had a wonderful Saturday mostly outside but I still managed to pull off a quick card.

I pulled out my Hero Arts Infinity Retangled dies and just cut three panels of designer paper from a Kaisercraft paper pad. I layered them all on top of each other without any extra cardstock.

I added foam tape to the back of one of the pre-made sentiment panels from the back of the pad then adhered it all to a card base.

I finished with some moonlight sequins.

Supplies: White cardstock, Designer Paper - KaiserCraft, Hero Arts - Infinity Dies, sequins.

Keeping Christmas - July 2020 - Gnome for the holidays

Welcome back, are you ready for the July edition of the Keeping Christmas Series

I have this half of a paper pad that has been sitting near my desk for months. This little guy stares at me all the time so I thought it was time to put him on the card.

I cut the bottom panel then added a layer of black cardstock in behind. The second panel is the bottom have of the panel from the gnome so I layered that with black cardstock as well.

The gnome panel is back with cardstock and foam tape to pop it up. I heat embossed the sentiment in white on black cardstock. I finished the card with black half pearls.

Supplies: White and black cardstock, Designer Paper - Photoplay, Simon Says Stamp - Gnome for the holidays, pearls

Be sure to visit Kelly's blog, she has a give away for this month's hop for Christmas in July.

Check out the fabulous inspiration with the other designers on the hop.

Good Times, Good Cheer

Received a nice little surprise in the mail the other day, some Crinkle ribbon. I went on the hunt for supplies that would coordinate nicely.

I found some long-forgotten Penny Black patterned paper, I cut two panels and added a panel of black cardstock in behind as well as a thin strip to separate the panels. I added some ribbon and tied a simple bow.

I layered the sentiment and popped it up with foam tape then finished with some gems.

TrailBlaze Challenge

I did something exciting today. I am avid walker and I love to hike, this year however with Covid and working from home as well all other things considered I have not been out in nature as much yet this year.

I saw a post on Facebook of someone who joined a challenge with Make-a-Wish and spur of the moment I signed up. I have no personal or business connection to this foundation, I signed up simply because it is for a good cause and I will be helping by doing something I love.

The goal is to walk or hike 100K by September 20th, my fundraising goal is $500, join me by donating, sharing or even challenging yourself. #TrailblazeCA

Happy Holidays

I made this card in about 20 mins this morning before work, considering how easy it was it should not have taken 20 mins but I am a slow crafter...

I love the vintage look this card has, I used a premade sentiment panel from the back of a paper pad for the focal point. I created a base panel out of designer paper and cardstock, then layered the sentiment panel with more DP and popped it up with foam tape.

I finished with some tiny gems.

Supplies: White and kraft cardstock, Designer Paper - Recollections, gems.

Merry Everything

Layer, layers and a few more layers for my card today. I am down to almost scraps in this paper pad so I made that work for me. I added a layer of black cardstock to each panel.

I stamped the sentiment and layered that as well. The scene panel had some foam tape behind it.

Merry and Bright

Good morning and Merry Monday, I chose a square card for this morning's card. I wanted to build the card around the small square pre-cut sentiment.

I used stitched square and die-cut a panel of patterned paper. I cut a piece of black cardstock to frame it. I also cut a small piece of coordinating patterned paper to fit under the sentiment panel. The panel of presents patterned paper is also layered with foam tape.

I added a layer of black cardstock to the sentiment and popped it up with foam tape. I finished the card with black Nuvo drops.

Supplies: White and black cardstock, Designer Paper - Kaisercraft, Simon Says Stamps - Stitched squares, Nuvo Drops.

Tuesday Morning Sketches# 563 - Merry Christmas

Good Morning, happy Sunday. I am playing along with Tuesday Morning Sketches for today's card.

I had the same paper pad from yesterday still sitting on my desk so I decided it would work for today's card as well.

I cut out two strips of designer paper and added foam tape to the top panel. The pattern fits the panel perfectly. I added some gold shimmer cardstock in behind the panels. I cut a very thin strip I added this between the two panels.

I used a die-cut to cut a circle, then added a precut sentiment from the back of the paper pad. The scraps from the top panel had a part of a poinsettia so I fussy cut it out and added it to the sentiment circle and added a layer of foam tape.

I die cut some stars and added foam tape to two of them to pop them up. I used some gold watercolour to add some gold dots to the top panel and outline the poinsettia veins at the side of the circle.

Wonderful Christmas

I spend most of the day out in the summer sunshine, I did manage a little bit of time in the craft room and created a super clean and simple.

I cut a piece of designer paper then added a layer of navy cardstock in behind. This beautiful patterned paper has stunning poinsettia's in dark blues and lined with gold.

I used one of the sentiment panels from the back of the paper pad and added a layer of navy cardstock and foam tape.

Supplies: White and navy cardstock, Designer Paper - KaiserCraft.

We spend time at a local lake doing a little kayaking.

We see a turtle in the same place whenever we visit, I wonder if it is the same one.

This what happens when I forget to put my hair in a ponytail and ball cap. Ignore the upside-down paddles, I did not kayak like this the whole time :).

We also took a walk along the ocean waterfront, I love island life.
