Wonderful Life

In keeping with the theme I started yesterday, beverages, today I coffee. I have a lot of coffee and tea stamps so I thought it was funny that I used mostly the designer paper pad for this card and added the coffee cup at the last minute for added interest.

I layered each of the panels with black cardstock then popped the sentiment panel and the coffee cup with foam tape. I heat embossed the coffee cup in white on black cardstock.

I finished the card with twine and some Your Next Stamp gumdrops.

Supplies: White and black cardstock, Designer Paper - Echo Park, Verve - Coffee, twine, YNS - Gumdrops.

Christmas Spirit

Good Morning, are you ready for a little Merry Monday Cheer, I have some Reindeer beer ready in celebration. I am trying again to maintain a theme for a week so this week's theme will be beverages.

I used a stitched die-cut for the main panel then added a layer of black cardstock in behind. I layered a smaller strip of red plaid for the centre of the card. I heat embossed the sentiment and the reindeer beer. The beer is die-cut and popped up with foam tape as is the top sentiment.

I finished with some Nuvo drops and a red dot for a nose.

Man of the Moment

I am a little late with my post today, it is the last in the Birthday theme for this week. I chose a masculine style card for this post.

I am working my way through my 6x6 paper pads, I have a few. This is a no stamping card, I used components all from the paper pad.

I added a layer of brown cardstock to each layer. I used a die-cut for the flag, then use my trimmer and scissors to trim the brown cardstock. I popped up the sentiment panel with foam tape and finished with Nuvo Drops.

Supplies: White and brown cardstock, Designer Paper - Kaisercraft, Paper Smooches - Flag Tags, Nuvo Drops.

Today is all about YOU!

It's just peachy for today, or maybe a slight bit darker. The photo is a little darker then what the card looks like in real-time.

I am digging deep into my cardmaking supplies and loving it. I pulled out a pad of Authentique paper and saw this layout on Facebook and used it as inspiration.

I cut out the bottom panel and added a layer of brown cardstock. I then die cut each square with stitched squares then added a layer of brown cardstock.

I used a backside of one of the designer papers that had a light print on it and die cut it with a stitched rectangle then stamped the sentiment. I finished with some glittery Nuvo drops.

Supplies: Cream and white cardstock, Designer Paper - Authentique, Penny Black - Special Sentiments, Nuvo Drops.

Keeping Christmas March 2020 - Simple Merry Christmas

Good Morning all, welcome to the March Keeping Christmas Blog Hop.

I love this adorable designer paper, the pattern is an elegant wintry scene. I used stitched rectangles to die cut the specific area on the paper I wanted. I added in a layer of ready for a festive feel.

I stamped the sentiment in red as well. The card is finished with sequins. At some point, I will use the rest of this page for some small tags.

Supplies: White and Black Cardstock, Designer Paper - unknown, sequins.

Follow along with the other crafters in the Blog Hop, there is lots of wonderful inspiration to explore.

Happy Happy Birthday

When I look at my rather robust collection of stamps  I find it interesting that there are often a few stamps sets that I reach for over and over. This set from Papertray ink is one of them.

This week I am going to stick with a Happy Birthday theme, tomorrow being the exception as it is Keeping Christmas.

I used the sketch from Cas(E) this Sketch #363, I was looking for inspiration and this sketch worked for me even though the challenge was over.

I cut each of the pieces of patterned paper, then adhered them to a piece of black foam tape. The larger top panel has a layer of foam tape to pop it up. I heat embossed the sentiment, added a layer of black cardstock and foam tape.

I finished the card with some Doodlebug dots. I have a ton of these in my embellishment drawer and certainly don't use them enough.. hmm maybe another goal of the week.

I am building up quite the stash of cards, sadly someone might get an Easter card sometime this fall. I was talking to a friend the other day, she said she was not sending out cards because someone told her they did not want to receive mail due to Covid. Understandable but sad for us paper crafters when sending cards is what we like to do to share our paper hugs. So my stash will grow and I am ok with that.

Supplies: White and black cardstock, Designer Paper - Brutus Monroe, Papertrey Ink - Birthday Bash, Doodlebug dots.

Blooming with blessings

Good Morning, it is a beautiful day outside my door and I am going to get out for a walk and enjoy.

I made this soft pretty card this morning and hope to get some more craft time when I come back in. These papers from Moda Scrap are so soft and pretty I thought them to be perfect for a spring or Easter card.

I used simple layers to showcase the papers, two panels backed with blue cardstock. The sentiment is layered as well and also popped up with foam tape. I finished with some spring coloured sequins.

Supplies: White and blue cardstock, Designer Paper - Moda Scrap, Papertrey Ink - Spring Hills, sequins.

I have been trying to get out to enjoy the sunshine each day while it is here. I thought I would post a few pictures.

Even toys are self-isolating, this is a random toy sitting in the middle of the wooded area in a local park.

I love my city and my island, it is such a beautiful place. These are from the local park, where most of the wise people are keeping an airplane arms distance but there is still a large number of people gathering in groups which is scary.

Social distancing and washing your hands... its a thing, do it!

This card is super easy, I used Stitched rectangles to die cut the panels. I fussy cut the Easter egg and popped it up with foam tape. The sentiment also has a layer of foam tape.

Easter Blessings

Yesterday aside I am going to try to post the remainder of the week with Spring and Easter projects.

For this card, I am playing along with the March Challenge from Scrap 'N Stamp. This month's challenge is Stencil It.

I used a stencil from TCW, Balzer Designs. I used a stitched rectangle to die cut a panel of watercolour paper. I then taped it down and used Distress Ink and some Cosmic Shimmer paste. The Shimmer past is mostly clear with different holographic colours. Adding it to the distress ink on my glass mat gave it the colours you see on this card.

Once the panel was dry I added a layer of black card stock in behind. I die cut the filigree egg and used a stitched rectangle to make it a panel. I heat embossed the sentiment then added foam tape to both the egg panel and sentiment. I love how the shimmery colour can be seen through the pattern on the egg.

Supplies: White and black cardstock, watercolour paper, Distress inks, Cosmic Shimmer, Simon Says Stamp - Stitched Rectangles and Filigree Egg, Clearly Besotted - Many Mini Messages.

Cheers,
Nina

Journey of a thousand miles

Good Morning, Happy Friday - I have something a little different for today's post. The Graphic 45 designer paper page I brought on sale back in February had a number of panels on including this one. The size was not something I wanted to make into a card so instead, I made a bookmark.

I added a layer of black then white cardstock behind the panel. I added a black eyelet and used some black crochet thread to create a tassel.

I choose not to embellish with gems or Nuvo drops so they would not catch on pages of a book.

Supplies: White and black cardstock, Designer Paper - Graphics 45, eyelet, crochet thread.

While this quote could be interpreted in many ways, I like the idea that starting a new book is the beginning of a new journey or adventure.

Hello Baby Girl

I could not resist this super cute designer paper when I saw it in the store. I did not do a very good job with this photo, this card is brighter with soft colours.

I know I have said it probably a dozen times since the new year but I have fallen in love with pre-done sentiment panels. I added a layer of white cardstock to each layer and some foam tape for added dimension.

I added some white twine and a cutie patootie mini button brad.

I love this Designer Paper  - it has the appearance that it is textured.
