Fall Colours

Fall is one of my favorite seasons, I love the beautiful colours and the crispness in the air. It is no surprise to me that I also love creating autumn cards.

I saw this cute image floating around the interwebs for a while and I am in full agreement.

Image result for craft supplies shopping vrs using them two separate hobbies

I have not been playing in my craft room much as of late, the draw of all the fall releases for craft supplies is a full on hazard. Just say no, does not work very well. It is almost a relief if a product is sold out ;).  That being said it has reminded me that I have so many stunning stamp to use.

The new is fabulous but I have also enjoyed digging through my stash of the old. This card is a blend of that.

Supplies: Cream and gray cardstock, Designer Paper - Prima, TPC Sudio - Autumn Harvest, gems.

Merry Monday Christmas Card Challenge #257

Good Morning, welcome to a new Merry Monday Christmas Card Challenge. Sue is our hostess this week and her challenge is to Add a decorated tag to your card using texture, bling and die cuts.

Well holy cow, that is quite the request :) I was up for the challenge - how about you?

I was feeling just a little bit country when I created this card, I think it was the music :).  I still had some scraps from a piece of Sleigh Bells Ring by My Mind's eye on my craft table and it worked out just fine.

I die-cut simple layers with my stitched rectangles. I used a die cut for the tag as well and I heat embossed the sentiment to add a little texture to my card. I finished the tag off with a small piece of DP along the bottom. Twine and sequins finished the project, there is some added dimension with foam tape under the tag as well.

Supplies: White cardstock, Designer Paper-My Mind's Eye, Simon Says and Lawn Fawn die cuts, KaiserCraft - Yuletide, twine, sequins.

Be sure to stop by the Merry Monday Challenge blog, joining the fun and play along. The Design Team has some get inspiration posted.

Have an amazing day,

Merry Monday Christmas Card Challenge #256

Good Morning all, welcome to a new Merry Monday Christmas Card Challenge. I am your hostess this week, my inspiration for this challenge is to Create a Christmas card based on your favorite holiday movie.

The Grinch is not actually one of my favorite movies but it is my husbands. I love the old style movies Rudolph (1964), Frosty the Snowman(1969) and Santa Claus Is Comin’ To Town! (1970). I grew up in a pretty small town in the interior of BC and we had two TV channels and come the holiday season these wonderful animated movies played every year. I think they still do and I still end of watching at least parts of them.

Anyhoo, the Grinch won the lottery for the card though and this is what I came up with.

I found this fun image on Pinterest, the sentiment is also from the interwebs as I don't think the movie lines are any big secret :). I added some snowy texture to the background then added some foam tape to the back of the sentiment. I finished with some twine.

Supplies: White and red cardstock, Image and Sentiment - Pinterest, twine.

Our all-star line up of designers, guest and regular is stellar so make sure you stop by the Merry Monday blog to see all the wonderful cards that are always an inspiration. We would love for you to play along.

Happy Fathers's Day

Crikey, I am so far behind with posting some of my cards. What a slacker ;). So as I play a little bit of catch up lets go way back.. at least a month and a half to Fathers Day.

I found this fabulous Canadian company that produces some wonderful scrapbook papers that are perfect for my husband and friends.

I created this quick card using simple layers that I die cut with stitched rectangles. I added a little foam tape to the heat embossed sentiment and it was done. I did not want to add too much to the card and distract from the fantastic paper designs.

Supplies: White and black card stock, Designer Paper - Wild Whisper, Avery Elle - City Celebrations.

I also found a company that can make photoboards to add some interest into the background of my card photos. So far I am quite happy :). This one is weather wood grain and the company is Posterjack.

Nina
