Keeping Christmas - September 2019

Welcome back for the September edition of the Keeping Christmas Series.

A quick card with panels for this month's Keeping Christmas. All the panels have a mat of card stock and then two of the panels are popped up with foam tape.

I added a simple sentiment and I felt the image popped again the patterened background.

Supplies: White and black cardstock, Designer Paper - Authenrique, Penny Black - Believe, half pearls.

Baby Boy's First Birthday

This is a clean and simple card for a little one's first birthday,

I used stitched rectangles to die cut the panels. I simply stamped the greeting the little elephant. I used some Zig markers to add some colour and I double layer the balloon and popped the second layer up with foam tape. I added a layer of shimmer to all the balloon and party hat.

Supplies: White cardstock, misc designer paper, Simon Says Stamp - Birthday Celebration, Simon Says Stamp - Stitched Rectangles.

Nina

Textured Congratulations

I created this card back in February, I am a little behind in posting perhaps :). I used one of my go-too sketches for the design.

I had these heat embossed panels in my scraps bin so I don't which stamps were used to create them, the pattern is heat embossed in black on gray cardstock. The background panel has an embossed woodgrain texture. The sentiment is heat embossed in white and popped up with foam tape.

I created a small scroll out of white paper and secured it with some twine. I finished the card with some black half pearls.

Supplies: White, gray and black cardstock, Clearly Besotted - Miniature Type, misc background stamps, sequins. twine.

So Sorry

I have a new favourite designer paper company, The Paper Company out of the UK. This paper pad has some simple and elegant patterns that turned out perfect for this sympathy card.

I added layers of a blue-green cardstock in behind each of the panels as well as the sentiment. I die cut this flower from the same blue-green cardstock as the mat and then popped the sentiment up over the top of it. I finished with some Nuvo drops.

Supplies: White and green cardstock, Designer Paper - The Paper Company, Tim Holtz - Wildflowers, Penny Black- Heartfelt, Nuvi drops.

New Baby Boy Congratulations

This adorable welcome card for some lucky little guy is not quite as dark as it looks like in the photo.

I used a clean layout, added a background panel that had a layer of black cardstock in behind the designer paper. I added two additional panels of adorable patterned paper and popped on of the panels up for dimension. The sentiment panel is popped up with foam tape as well and I finished with some Nuno drops.

Supplies: White and black cardstock, Designer Paper - Echo Park, Hero Arts - Congratulations, Nuvo Drops.

Happy Couple

Fall is on its way, I have the crafty inspiration to create something with Autumn colours. Not today though, I have not blogged in forever and I have a small backlog of cards to post.

I love the intricate pattern of this background stamp, it was heat embossed in silver. I added a few white highlights for interest. I layered the panel with gray and black cardstock then popped it up with foam tape.

The sentiments are heat embossed in white on black cardstock and also popped up with foam tape, I finished with a single gem.

Supplies: White, gray and black cardstock, Simon Says Stamp - Cora background, Altenew Sentiment Strips, gem.

Baby Girl - Congrats

There are a few types of cards that never seem to be in my stash, baby cards and sympathy. These were first on my list for when I was at the retreat.

I had picked out a few layouts that I like and then started to create. This layout is so easy and it allows for showcasing panels of cute designer papers.

I created the background panel with a simple pattern and added a mat of brown cardstock. I think used stitched rectangles and squares to create the patterned panels. I added a layer of brown cardstock to the panels. The sentiment panel is simply stamped then a mat added, I added some foam tape in behind to give it a little dimension. I finished with some Nuvo drops.

Supplies: White and brown cardstock, Designer paper -Echo Park, Simon Says Stamps - Clean Line Everyday, Stitched Rectangles and Stitched Squares, Nuvo Drops.

Cheers,
Nina
