'Tis the season

Merry Monday, crafty friends; I am having fun shopping my own stash for my card today. I have an abundance of supplies for holiday and Christmas cards.

The design of this card is simple, with layers. I started with a piece of patterned paper and then added a strip of a coordinating design across the middle.

I had a sentiment panel from the paper pad that I layered with a piece of vellum and red cardstock. I added a layer of foam tape to adhere the panel.

I finished the card with some clear red gems.

Supplies: White and red cardstock, Vellum, Designer Paper - Recollections, gems.

Sealed with a bow

I have a monochromatic card for today's Washi Tape Wednesday. This photo does not do the card justice, and I love how it turned out.

I started with a panel of white cardstock and added black and white washi tape; I added a layer of black cardstock to create a thin frame.

I die-cut these blooming stems in black and white, then mixed and matched the pieces; I sealed them together by using a black and white wax seal, the pattern for the seal is not really visible, but it has a bow.

I used a sentiment strip that I layered with black cardstock to finish the card.

Supplies: White and black cardstock, Washi tape, Spellbinders - Sealed Blooming stems, Simon Says stamp sentiment strips, wax, seal.

Did you know: As far back as the Old Testament, wax seals were used to ensure the security and secrecy of important documents.

The Most Wonderful

Merry Monday crafting peeps. The design of my card today is simple, and it was easy to put together as I was meeting virtually with crafty friends.

I started with a piece of plain designer paper. I cut a piece of vellum slightly smaller than the bottom layers; I am horrible with measurements, and I am what you call a paper waster.  I snip a piece off the edges till I am happy.

The top panel is from the same paper pad and is a pre-done panel. I trimmed the edges, glued the panel to the vellum, and then adhered the whole panel using foam tape. I finished the card with some sequins.

Supplies: White cardstock, Vellum,  Designer Paper - Photoplay, sequins.

Sweet Day

It is Washi Tape Wednesday, my crafty friends, and I have a quick and easy design for my card today.

I cut a panel of white cardstock a little smaller than my card base. I added some coffee-themed washi tape in two directions. I added foam tape to adhere to the panel.

I stamped the sentiment, matted it with dark brown cardstock, and popped it up with foam tape.

I finished my card with some brown and black gems.

Supplies: White and brown cardstock, Washi tape, Altenew - Coffee with a splash, gems.

Oh Christmas Tree

Merry Monday, crafty friends; I used basic layers of patterned paper for the design on my card today. I started with a large rectangle of designer paper and then cut a coordinating square piece.

The sentiment panel is from the same paper pack.

I finished my card with some sequins.

Supplies: White cardstock, Designer Paper - Echo Park, sequins.

Starry Thank you

Hello crafty friends; this post will be short. This card is from 2021, I had it in my draft posts, but I don't see if posted.

I used layers of patterned paper in various prints, all gray. I added a layer of gray cardstock for the search panel.

I heat-embossed the sentiment in white on gray cardstock. I finished the card with some gems.

Everything

Rolls and Rolls of wonderful Washi, today's Washi Tape Wednesday card is simple strips of tape. I cut a panel of cardstock and started laying down strips of tape.

I did use my paper trimmer to make some width adjustments but I love how this card turned out.

Washi Tape is so forgiving, and blends nicely if overlapped. I started with the diagonal pieces in the upper right corner and then the lower left.

I stamped and layered the sentiment, added some foam tape to make it dimensional. I finished the card with some pink gems.

Supplies: White and gray cardstock, Washi Tape, Simon Says Stamp - Orchid Rose Bouquet, gems.

Flamingo Birthday

Hello crafty friends; I have a fun feathered card for today's post.  I started by layering strips of paper alongside each other from left to right, increasing the width of each piece of designer paper to the top panel with the flamingos. I popped the panel up with foam tape.

I die cut birthday in white, then added a shadow in black, and I added a gem in place of the tittle; the happy is from a sentiment strip.

I finished the card Flamingo sticker with a foam back from Little B.

Supplies: White cardstock, Designer Paper, Simon Says Stamps - Sentiment Strip and Happy Birthday die cut, Little B - Flamingo, gem.

Did you know: Flamingos get their pink colour from their food.

Thanks a bunch!

Welcome to another Washi Tape Wednesday, my Washi tape stash still seems to be growing but I will admit I had enjoyed using it as well. This card was quick to put today and I had fun.

I am pretty sure that there is a far number of crafty people with 49th and Market washi something out there, I love the stamps. So I grabbed on of my boxes and started to play.

This box has 9 unique patterns which was perfect for the panel I cut out of black cardstock.

I was not very clean with pulling the stamps off the roll but I am ok that they are uneven, it gives the panel character. I popped the panel up with foam tape and adhered it to the card base.

I die cut tattered leaves and added some foam tape, then used a sentiment strip. The final touch was some black sequins.

Supplies: White and black cardstock, 49th and Market - Postage Stamp Washi Tape, Simon Says Stamp - Tattered Leaves and Sentiment Strip.

Winter Wonderland

Merry Monday, crafty peeps - my card for this post was easy to put together. I cut multiple panels in various sizes and arranged them to overlap to showcase the different patterns.

The top panel has a layer of foam tape to pop it up. I added a sentiment strip and adhered to that with foam tape. I finished the card with some enamel dots to match the paper.

Supplies: White cardstock, Designer Paper and enamel dots - Echo Park, Simon Says Stamp - Sentiment Strip.
