Be Merry

Good morning and Merry Monday, I have a card I created with Washi tape to share this morning.

I started with a white cardstock panel the laid down strips of Washi tape on either side of the panel.

I die-cut some winter foliage in white and adhered them. I die-cut three of the die-cut sentiment pieces and glued them all together for a 3D look.

I added a layer of red cardstock and finished up with some red, clear and silver gems.

Supplies: White and red cardstock, Washi tape, EchoPark die cuts, gems.

Cheers,
Nina

A Day of Remembrance

In Flanders fields, the poppies blow
Between the crosses, row on row,
That mark our place; and in the sky
The larks, still bravely singing, fly
Scarce heard amid the guns below.

We are the Dead. Short days ago
We lived, felt dawn, saw sunset glow,
Loved and were loved, and now we lie
      In Flanders fields.

Take up our quarrel with the foe:
To you from failing hands we throw
The torch; be yours to hold it high.
If ye break faith with us who die
We shall not sleep, though poppies grow
      In Flanders fields.

Congrats

It took a good number of pieces to put this card together. I started with a black base panel then die-cut strips of blue cardstock in two slightly different colours.

I die-cut 4 stitched triangles and put them through the Big Shot with an embossing folder. The sentiments are stamped in black ink and popped up with foam tape.

I heat embossed the car then die-cut it, it also is backed with foam tape.

This is version #4 of the car, I tried one in blue, one on kraft cardstock, one where I tried to make the car one colour and the tires another. They just did not look quite right.

Does anyone need a paper police car? No, that is ok, they are safely tucked away with the die-cut for future use.

Supplies, White, black and blue cardstock, Your Next Stamp & Die - Freeze, Simon Says Stamp - Strips 1, Strips 2, Simple Sentiments No. 01, Clean Line XL,  Stampin' Up! - Stitched Triangle dies, embossing folder.

Cheers,

Nina

Adventure

Do you ever buy Designer Paper because you just love the look of it.. Ha ok, that really was a  silly question, of course, we all do.

In this case, I could not resist. I could see a card in the pattern right away, what I will use that card for is another question but I do like how it turned out.

I die-cut a panel from the area on the 12 x 12 paper that I wanted for my scene, I then used stitched triangle die-cut to create cut-out areas that I popped up with foam tape. I have a companion page that has items to fussy cut out so I die cut a circle one and the sentiment Adventure.

I fined the card with some black half pearls.

Supplies: White and black cardstock, Designer Paper - Paper Rose, pearls.

Cheers,
Nina

Winter Wonderland

This card came together pretty quickly, I used paper and a panel from a 6x6 Echo Park paper pad. I added a layer of black cardstock to the plaid background. I did the same with the top panel.

I added the sentiment, also matted, then finished the card using some itty bitty snowflakes from a sequin mix I had.

Supplies: White and black cardstock, Designer Paper - Echo Park, Stampers Anonymous - Tiny Text Christmas, Picket Fence sequin mix.

I was trying out some new lighting, and this image is a little off. More practice is required.

Cheers,
Nina
