Tuesday Morning Sketches #310

We have a new sketch for Tuesday Morning Sketches, our sponsor this week is SLS Lines. The first thing I did was turn the sketch, I was determined to use this great Masculine set.

I love love this adorable digi set, the images are all pre-coloured which I am developing a fondness for. I also printed off the digital papers that are a part of this set so they were co-ordinating. I used a sentiment for the corner element which I printed off from Word and the layers are popped up with foam tape.  I added in a little bit of twine behind the main image.

Supplies: White and brown card stock, SLS Lines - Cupcakes, misc die cuts, twine.

Merry Monday Christmas Card Challenge #167

We have a new challenge for you today over at Merry Monday Christmas Card Challenge. It’s Bonnie's Challenge this week – Create a Christmas card with a heart(s) on it.

I think this card was made in record time, I could not resist this adorable wintery scene all laid out on the designer paper just waiting for me to create with it. I pulled out my stitched rectangles (shocker :)) and created a couple of layers, I added some foam tape in between and finished with some white twine.

You have to look close to see the itty bitty tiny heart that the little rabbit is holding :).

Supplies: White card stock, Designer Paper - Lawn Fawn, Papertrey Ink - Signature Christmas, die cutes,  twine.

The Merry Monday Design team has posted some lovely cards over on the challenge blog for inspiration. Stop by, play along and some comments.

Be bold

Happy Sunday, I guess I missed posting this card as I found in still hanging about in my drafts :)

With this card I chose a bold DP print and used a layout of simple design that uses the whole face of the card.

I stamped the sentiment along a white panel with colours that blend well with the DP and it is popped up with foam tape. I used double die cuts to make a stitched frame to put under the top. I finished with some red and yellow gems.

Supplies: White card stock, Designer Paper , Technique Tuesday – Live Love Laugh Die cuts, gems.

Dream Big

Good Morning all!! I love the soft colours and fun patterns with this paper. This is the last card in the Live, Laugh and Love 5 card set.  The sentiments were already on the paper so I just used a stitched rectangle die cut to frame it and it is popped up with foam tape. I added a number of panels in behind and finished by adding some twine and sequins.

Supplies: White card stock, Designer Paper, Simon Says stitched rectangle die cuts, twine and sequins.

Tuesday Morning Sketches #309

We have a new sketch for Tuesday Morning Sketches, our sponsor this week is DeeDee Digis. The first thing I did was turn the sketch, I was determined to use this great Masculine set.

Does my little car look to small?....sigh it looked fine when I was making the card but as I eye-ball it in the picture it could have been a bit bigger.  I love the little mustached man down in the corner though that is part of the DP I chose to use.  The tiny manly print is pretty cool too. The car panel is popped up with foam tape then finished with the sentiment and gears.

Supplies: White and black card stock, DeeDee Digi - Classics, Designer Paper Authentique, misc die cuts.

Hearts and Balloons

Happy Anniversary to us, the problem though is that I forgot.. worst wife ever. It is a good thing that my husband and I have plans for the weekend or I might feel even worse. It is fodder for my sweet husband though, he will relive my forgetfulness for many many years to torment me J.

I could make all sorts of excuses, travel, work, general busy. I could tell you I did not see it on my card calendar but I did but apparently it did not register. I did scramble to get a card done in record time last night, while hiding the whole creative process from a husband who seemed to make numerous visits to the craft room and peeking over my shoulder.

I used a number of die cuts for the card - thinking that I would do something simple but it never really turns out that way. I created the background then added the black panel, the balloons are all popped up with foam tape and I finished with the sentiment.
