Sunshine

Hello crafty friends, I have a fun fold card to share today.

I started by adding patterned paper to each of the front panels. I layered the sentiment panel with a piece of white cardstock, then adhered it to the front panel.


I added coordinating patterned paper to the inside folders.

Good Vibes

Hello crafty fiends, I am using a unique card fold for the card today.

I started with multiple pieces of patterned paper and then added layers of black paper to the front and inside of the card.



A sentiment panel from the paper pad finishes the card. I layered it with black cardstock, adhering only half of the panel to the card front.

Lovely

Hello crafty friends, it is Washi Tape Wednesday. I used an easy layout for my card today.

I created a panel with some wide washi that was just waiting to be used. I layered that onto some black cardstock.


I also had a random leaf/branch die-cut from black in my stash, so I added that layered with foam tape. I added a sentiment strip to finish the card.

Did you know: The Eiffel Tower can be 15 cm taller during the summer, due to thermal expansion meaning the iron heats up, the particles gain kinetic energy and take up more space.

Birthday Wishes

Hello crafty friends, I have a new favourite designer paper that I am playing with today. The designer is Canadian, which has me excited. If you are interested, you can find the designer HERE. I have made cards with this paper before and love it.

The layout for this card is very simple, I used a rectangle die to die-cut the section from the patterned paper I wanted to use.

I layered the panel with black cardstock, die-cut the sentiment, and finished the card with some gems.

Holiday Hello

Hello crafty friends - I am posting this card for Merry Monday.

This layout does not get much simpler. I started with a piece of patterned paper (I love the vintage look). I added a layer of black cardstock.


I then added some twine, layered a sentiment strip with black cardstock and foam to finish.

Birthday Planes

Hello Crafty friends, I have a fun masculine card to share.

I started with a piece of patterned paper, then added a layer of black cardstock I then a second vertical piece of patterned paper.

For the center panel I inked the edges on a coordinating piece of designer paper then layered it with black cardstock.


I finished the card with a sentimnet strip that is layered with a small piece of scrap designer paper then added some black dot stickers.

Hello Fall

Hello crafty friends, I have a fall card to share today.

I started by inking a panel of white card stock, I added some script with Brown ink to the card stock then I ran it through my big shot with an embarrassing folder.


I added ink to the edges of the embossed areas to highlight the design.

I use my Cricut Joy to cut the Hello Fall sentiment. I finished the card by adding an upside down sequin popped up with foam tape and a gem at the centre of the sunflowers.

Did you know: There are thousands of tiny flowers that create a sunflower head each petal on the circumference of the sunflower is a flower itself.

Simple Birthday

Hello crafty friends - I have a quick and easy card to share today.

I started with a strip of pattered paper across the middle of the card base, I then added three pieces of coordinating cardstock the length of the card.


I added a circle die-cut from white cardstock then popped up with foam tape. I added a chipboard butterfly on top of that. I used a sentiment strip then finished the card with some dew drops.

Did you know: Butterflies wings are often colourful to attract other butterflies or warn predators that they are poisonous.

Fish On!

Hello crafty friends, this is another card left in the draft folder in 2023. This one is pretty easy to remember how it was made, as I was playing with a paper pack from Echo Park.

I started with a panel of designer paper and added a layer of black cardstock. Along the right side, I fussy-cut a sentiment flag.

The fish, fish on and fishing rod are all stickers from the pack. I finished the card with some half pearls.

Washi Tape Birthday

Hello craft friends, I used a fun pattern for the card for Washi Tape Wednesday. 

The fabric washi is a wide tape, so I laid it out on some cardstock, then used square die cuts to create panels.


I layered the panels on black cardstock, added a layer of white cardstock and foam tape to the sentiment strip, and finished the card with some gems.

Supplies: White and black card, Washi Tape - 49th and Market, Simon Says Stamp - sentiment strip, gems.

Did you know: People used to answer the phone with “Ahoy”. Thomas Edison preferred “Hello,” but Alexander Graham Bell pushed for “Ahoy.”

Happy Birthday

Hello crafty friends, I have a masculine birthday card to share today.

I used one of my favourite layouts for the card. I used three different pattern papers and cut them into panels. I added the panels to a piece of black cardstock, leaving a small edge around each panel.

I used a circle die to cut out the bear. I added a layer of black cardstock and popped it up with foam tape.

I added some sequins and the sentiment strip to finish.

Did you know: In ancient Rome, urine was used as mouthwash. Because of the ammonia, urine was used for teeth whitening and cleaning.

Hello crafty friends, Merry Monday, I have a card with a simple layout to share.

I layered a large panel of patterned paper with black cardstock, then did the same with the second layer, adding a layer of foam tape to adhere it.

Hello crafty fiends, I have a monochromatic card to share today.

I started with a piece of patterned paper and added a layer of black cardstock to the panel.

I die-cut a couple of circles from coordinating cardstock, added foam tape to one of them, added a sentiment strip, and finished with gems.

Hello crafty friends, coffee anyone?

I started this card with a layer of designer paper layered with black cardstock, and I did the same with the second layer.


I die-cut a tag, added some twine and foam tape. I fussy-cut a few elements from the designer paper, and added some gems to finish.

Paper Hug

Hello crafty friends - it is time for Washi tape Wednesday.

I used wide fabric washi tape for the base of this card. I added thin strips of gray washi tape through the middle and some die-cut dandelions.

 

I layered the sentiment strip with black cardstock and foam tape. I finished the card with silver gems.

Warm Wishes

Hello crafty friends, I have a Merry Monday card to share.

Using one of my go-to layouts, I started by die-cutting a couple of squares and rectangles from coordinating cardstock.

I layered the small panels onto black cardstock. I cut a sentiment panel from the paper pad and layered it with black cardstock and foam tape.


I finished the card with some small snowflake embellishments.

Hello crafty friends, this is one of my favourite layouts.

I started with a layer of black cardstock. I cut equal-sized squares and retangled them to create a panelled layer with broad borders.


I layered a panel from the paper pack with black cardstock and foam tape. I finished the card with some gems.

Mountain are calling

Hello crafty friends - I have a layered card to share today.

I started this card with a layer of designer paper that I inked the edges and layered with brown cardstock. I did the same with each of the other layers of designer paper.



I added a moose ephemera and a sentiment panel from the same paper kit. I used a sentiment strip that I layered with brown cardstock, then finished the card with brown embellishment dots.

Sorry for your loss

Hello crafty friends, I started this card with a piece of matted paper, to which I added some texture and an embossing folder. I then layered it with navy cardstock and foam tape.

I added some floral pieces die-cut from navy cardstock, and I overlapped that with a piece cut from white cardstock backed with foam tape. 

I added a sentiment strip popped up with foam tape, and I finished the card with some gems.

Celebrating you

Hello crafty friends, I have a card created with Washi tape for Washi tape Wednesday.

The layout is simple. I laid down strips of washi tape, then layered the panel with white and black cardstock.
 
I added a greenery element die-cut from black and layered with foam tape.


I added a sentiment strip, layered it with cardstock, and then I finished the card with some gems.

Hello crafty friends, I used a simple layout for my card today.

I started with a piece of designer paper that I layered with black cardstock. I die-cut the cottage and tree leaving some space at the bottom to then layered the sentiment strip onto it.

Celebration

Hello crafty friends, I had fun making this card.

I started with some collage paper and layered that onto some cardstock, I ran that through with a an embossing folder to add texture then added a layer of black cardstock.


I die cut daisies then add them as well. I layered the sentiment strip with white cardstock and foam tape. I finished the card by adding gems to the center of the daisies.

Hello crafty friends, I have a perfect card for someone who loves to fish.

I started the card with a piece of designer paper that I layered with black cardstock. I added a codinating piece of patterned paper that I cut in a large flag.

I added a retangle piece of another piece of patterned paper. I used a chipboard element and added some black cardstock. I used some stickers from the same paper pack then finished the card with some sequins.

This is an interesting fold. I don't often make horizontal cards, so this is perfect for shaking things up a little.



I started with cardstock panels and laid down washi tape. I added a layer of black cardstock to each panel and adhered the larger panel with foam tape.

I layered the sentiment strip and added foam tape. I finished the card with gold half pearls.

Make a Wish

Hello crafty friends, this card was sitting in the draft section of my blog. I think it was made in mid-2023. I am going to guess how I made it.

I started with a piece of black cardstock to which I added texture with an embossing folder. I then die-cut four rectangles of patterned paper with a postage die-cut and layered them with black and blue cardstock.


I die-cut a leafy branch from blue cardstock and popped it up with foam tape. I used a sentiment strip layered with foam tape and completed the card with some tiny gems.

Supplies: White, blue and black cardstock, Designer paper - unknown, Sim Says Stamp - Privet Branch & postage die-cut, embossing folder, gems.

Snow much fun

Hello crafty friends & Merry Monday, it is so much fun.

I started with a panel of black cardstock and cut small panels of patterned paper to create a four-section design, leaving a small frame around each.


I cut a piece of coordinating cardstock and added a layer of black cardstock and foam tape. Then, I die-cut a snowflake from silver paper, popped it up with foam tape, and added a gem.

I used a sticker popped up with foam tape for the sentiment.

Did you know: Snow is not white, but rather translucent.
