Wild Birthday

Hello, crafty friends, I am sharing a card we made with Crystal today during her tutorial. It is unclear if there is a name for this technique.

We started with paper strips to create a full 8 1/2 by 11 sheet. I then cut the paper again to create strips that included the patterns. I did not explain that well; perhaps the picture will clarify.

The result turned out pretty great, and I ended up with four panels I can turn into cards.

This is the first card I put together. I added a layer of black cardstock to the panel. I used  a tag from the same paper pack I used for the paper strips.

I added foam tape to the back and used some twine.

The sentiment is layered on a scrap from the strips and popped up with foam. I finished the card with gems.
