Better Together

It's been a little while since I have posted or even crafted. This is a quick card I put together last night and it was nice to play in the craft room a little.

I used a white card base then I used an embossing folder on the smaller panel. The panel is popped up with foam tape. I die cut the heart and paper swirl then added some foam tape to the heart.

I heat embossed the sentiment then finished the card with some gems.

Supplies: White and black cardstock, misc embossing folder, Carta Bella - Let Love Bloom, Sizziz die cuts, gems.

Welcome Baby

Our baby's are having baby's! One of my best friends from high school recently became a gramma... perhaps that makes me an honorary great aunt. I don't feel old enough yet.

So needless to say a card was made and said wee one happily welcomed.

Supplies: White and grey cardstock, Designer Paper - Doodlebug, dew drops.

I love you!

Summer is here and the weather has been so beautiful. It seems to get harder for me to spend time indoors, but I did manage to get an anniversary card done.

I used a woodgrain embossing folder for the background of this card then used some distress inks to add colour.

I die cut the hearts and used a background stamp to add some script to a few. The sentiment is multilayered for dimension. I finished with some Nuvo drops.

Supplies: White and brown cardstock, Simon Says stamp - You Matter, Memory Box die cuts, Nuvo drops.

It's your Birthday

I was not sure what to do with these very cool doily like prints in  the back of my KaiserCraft 6x6 paper pad so I decided to try something a little different.

I cut the paper in a diamond shape and added a layer of brown cardstock. I used some of the other prints from the pad to create the background. The sentiment is heat embossed in white on brown cardstock and popped up with foam tape. I added a gem to the center of the main panel to finish.

Supplies: White and brown cardstock, Designer Paper - KaiserCraft, Simon Says Stamp - Big Birthday Wishes, gems.

Happiest of Days

I love these pretty papers, the prints are delicate and simple. I added a layer of brown cardstock to create a dark mat.

I used an edge die to cut an angle in the paper and to add a stitched edge for decoration. The sentiment is heat embossed in white on brown cardstock and popped up with foam tape. I finished with some gems.

Supplies: White and brown cardstock, Designer Paper - Pink Fresh Studio, MTF - Birthday Sentiments, gems.

Merry Monday Christmas Card Challenge #296

We have a new Merry Monday Christmas card challenge, I am the hostess this week and my challenge is to Create a rustic Christmas card.

My husband always like the rustic style Christmas cards, mostly because I usually incorporate some sort of buck or moose and probably some plaid as I did here.

The gold highlights on the kraft cardstock is not exactly "rustic" but it falls along the lines of what you are seeing in the stores these days for design elements.

Supplies: Kraft cardstock, Designer Paper - American Crafts, Paper Smooches- Tag die, Papertry Ink-Holiday Wishes, misc buck die, twine.

Come play along with the challenge, stop by the Merry Monday blog to take a look at all the great inspiration created by the rest of the Merry Makers.

Just Add Ink #414

This morning I had some time to pop into the craft room for a little while. My sister Barb encouraged me to play along with the current Just Add Ink.

I had a vision in my head of how I wanted my card to look... this was not it. I can not say I am disappointed in how it turned out because I kinda like it. I love the cool papers, I used lots of foam tape to pop up the layers and frames and I finished with the simply stamped sentiment and some clear dew drops.

Supplies: White and black cardstock, Designer Paper - Ella & Viv, MFT - Gift card greetings, Poppy Double stitched Square Frames, dew drops.
