Happy Friday

This was another famous husband request, one of those, hey it is so and so’s birthday can you make a card by tomorrow. Don’t get me wrong I am not complaining, maybe I like the challenge?

When I started making this card, I was not sure if I liked it, I wanted to use the rainbow designer paper and this stamp but I was not really finding cardstock that would work with it. Once I had the image colored I was happier, then the glittery flowers just sort of pulled it together especially after I added the purple and sage rhinestones. The wishing you joy stamp was an after though but I think it was perfect. On the inside I stamped Birthday Wishes.

I love the Derwent Watercolor pencils my husband brought me for Christmas, they are so nice to work with.

Supplies: Light grey and cream cardstock, Designer Paper – DCWV The Far East Stack, Stampin’Up – Summer by the sea, Kolette Hall – Joy, Glitter flowers (unknown), Purple and Sage Rhinestones – Kaiser Scrapbook

Still getting a feel for my light tent, it casts a bit of a gray light, I am not sure if it is the way I have my lights, time and practice will tell.

Until tomorrow, have a great day.

  1. this is SO whimsical and pretty. Love the look of this one. This would make a perfect book thing, you know the thing you put inside a book saying "belongs to"? You are becoming an artist, Sis. Once you play with watercolor pencils you are a goner.

SO glad you blog your cards. Seeing the little girl reminds me I promised to make some huggy girls for my friend Mavis, better get on that soon!

    Love you!
