Mojo Monday #215

It is a beautiful day here in Victoria, the sun is out and the sky is a beautiful blue if the wind would just go away it would be perfect. I took a vacatrion day today, I am alone in the house and it is fabulous.

Mojo Monday has a new sketch today:

I pulled out my Linen Closet Stack for today's card, I am going to be so disappointed when I use all this DP. I love the wondeful mix of glitter and brilliant pages. I was not able to get the glitter to sparkle in the picture so you will have to trust me. I did manage to my the crystal to show their glitz.

Supplies: Cream and brown cardstock, Desiger Paper DCWV, TPC-Card Making Birthday, Cuttlebug embossing folders, misc punches, Swarovski Elements-Jolee's.

Cheers,
Nina

The Friday Mashup # 32

A quick second post for this Friday. There is a new Challenge posted on The Friday Mashup and I happily started working on this card first this morning.

So here is the "Mashup" Challenge :
  1. Make a project featuring "A Girly Theme".
  2. Or Make a project using "Your Favorite Technique".
  3. Or "Mash it Up" and create a "Girly project using your Favorite Technique".

I struggle a little with girly cards, but I think I almost made it :). I have been loving embossing this past little while so I used both heat embossing and an embossing folder.

I embossed the designer paper with an embossing folder, it is new so the impression was deep enough to go through the DP. I decided to give the card a little bit of a shabby look with some brown edging to enhance some of the small tears. I embossed the bottom portion of the DP with Frosted Glass embossing power to give a little variation in colour.

I heat embossed this cute flower three time then cut out the different layers and added foam tape between each layer to give it dimension.I finished with an embossed Hello.  Just before I posted my husband walked in and said nice card I like the dints.

Supplies: Natural white and brown cardstock, Designer Paper - Unknown, Verve stamps-Sunny Day, TPC-Cardmaking Hello, Cuttlebug folder, misc ribbon.

Cheers,
Nina

Mojo Monday # 214

I seem to have fallen a little behind with my cards this week. I started my card for this weeks Mojo Monday Challenge yesterday but I was distracted and did not get to finish it till tonight. I am happy with the way it turned out.

Mojo Monday Challenge Sketch:

I tried to take the picture where it would show the shimmer of some of the designer paper, I just could not get the lighting to work for me. I guess that is what I get for trying to take the picture in the evening. I did get a close up of the snowflake embossed with Antiquities Frosted glass.

Supplies: Natural Ivory and brown cardstock, Designe Paper-S.E.I., Inkadinkado-Happy Holidays and small snowflake, Memory Box die, Snowflake punch, AMuse-Pearls.

Nina
