Just a quick post. I tried a different type of card in honour of my sister Barb’s Birthday today.

Happy Birthday Big sister.

My sister has so much talent in everything art, her cards are amazing and always very unique. As hard as I try I can never get the same results as her, but who am I kidding I like my layers. So this try was for you sis.

I don't work very well with mulberry paper, I always seem to tear it or glue it on wrong. I did not seem to have too much trouble this time around. I used a brown craft ink pad to color the little tulle tail.

I stamped and embossed flourishes to jazz it up a little.

Supplies: Cream and burnt orange cardstock, Designer Paper-cream mulberry, Inkadinkado-Dot Flourishes, Justrite-Happy Birthday, Craft Essentials-copper embossing Powder, Misc ribbon, tulle.

Happy Birthday Barb, Love You.

  3. BLUSHING !!!

Ah Nina, I've seen you in action - you are very talented and you have no idea how I wish to have a portion of your knowledge of how to do the techniques you use. You are very meticulous and precise and you have such a tremendous eye for colours, textures and the sparing use of "bling" to create unique artworks. Your cards always have a place of honour on my mantle. The photo does not do justice to how this card really looks like.

You are the most incredible Sis one could ask for - I say "thanks" each and every day for you.

    All my love,
    Barb
