Just a quick card post this morning. This is a retirement card for a female police officer. I have had these tiny little handcuffs for forever and they turned out to be perfect for this card, definitely not a conventional card but I think it works.

I used my fabulous My Mind's Eye  Fall in Love designer paper and layered it on burgundy cardstock. I used foam tape to pop up the different layers. The sentiment is embossed with a burgundy embossing powder to give it a little gloss. I finished by adding the flowers, bow and cuffs.

Supplies: Cream and burgundy cardstock, Designer Paper-My Mind’s Eye, Inkadinkado- Destination, Offray – Hot rage(cuffs), Offray flowers, misc pearl and ribbon.

  1. What an "arresting" card *snort* It definately "captured" my attention.

On the serious side, its fabulous. I think you gave me a slice of that paper you used top left and bottom right squares, correct? Is that the mind's eye?

    Love it! Love you!

  2. Very cool card....love the little hand-cuffs. Great job as always :)

Hope you have a wonderful Canada Day and a great weekend all around.

  3. Me again.:)
I LOVE your card.LOVE the way you made the layers pop up...and those handcuffs are PERFECT for the retiring police officer!! The sentiment is COOL too.I am sure they will LOVE your card and the thought that went into it.:)
Hope you had a WONDERFUL day celebrating your BEAUTIFUL country's birthday.:)
