Monday already :). I had such grand plans of multiple challenges last week and well..... Mojo today though and this sketch is perfect for a very special card I needed to make.

Mojo Monday Sketch:

I love how this card turned out, the photo does not really do it justice. I opted for a total square card as this is intended for a male recipient. The heart and sentiment were stamped with Versacolor Pinecone and embossed with clear embossing powder, I had distressed the surface with a sanding block before hand to make the image stand out. The edging does not stand out as much as it shows in the image.

I punched out a couple of Sizzlets flourishes then embossed them with clear embossing powder. I used my Cricut and my Sure Cuts A Lot software to cut out the hearts, then I used a punch to make the button holds. I also embossed the top button with clear embossing powder to give it added gloss.

Supples: Cream and brown cardstock, Designer Paper - Wild Asparagus, Inkadinkado-Heats, Fiskars-All Year Greetings,Sizzlets Flouishes, Cricut, Sure Cuts A Lot, misc ribbon, embroidery floss

  1. Ohh I love it TOO. What a great idea to emboss your buttons and cut outs - I'm sure it gives them a beautiful texture and gloss. That is sooo hard to capture in a photo.

This is perfect for a man. Won't the man see this before the man is supposed to get it? Ahh- right, my man does not look at my blog so why would any man look at blogs. Unless there were cars, bikes, tools or hockey on them, right?

    You're always inspiring Sis,

    Love ya,

  2. Oh my!!! What a great card!!!! I really like that stamped heart, truly gorgeous. The flourish on the side is also quite beautiful!!

  3. love this card Nina ...wow. Yes this man is going to love this card..he will see and feel the love that went into making this. You have a great week,

  4. Good morning Nina:)
