Merry Monday Christmas Card Challenge #147

Another stunning weekend on Vancouver Island with beautiful weather,  the cherry blossoms are so pretty and when there is a small gust of wind there is pink snow.

We have new challenge for you today over at Merry Monday Christmas Card Challenge. It’s Bonnie's Challenge this week - Create a Christmas card with star(s).

My husband said my card was not very Christmas-y so I tried to add some shimmer by using gold embossing powder for the sentiment. I could not find a ribbon that would work so I used linen ribbon and added the same gold embossing powder to it, it made it a little stiff but it turned out ok.

Supplies: White and black card stock, Designer Paper-Carta Bella, Verve- Peace on Earth, ribbon.

The Merry Monday Design team has some fabulous inspiration for you over on the challenge blog. Stop by, play along and don't forget to leave some comments.

It was a pretty sunset last night too.

Thanks for stopping by,

  1. Well, it isn't Christmas-y in the red and green sense, but I think it is quite nice. I definitely think your gold sentiment ties it all in quite nicely. Envy the mild weather and cherry blossoms. I'm in the south (USA) and freezing my bums!

  2. The combination of papers looks striking together and I think it looks like an awesome masculine Christmas card!

  3. With that gorgeous sentiment how could this not be Christmas-y, Nina! Love the rustic look of these stars! Have a great week! How nice that you have cherry blossoms already! I'll bet it's beautiful where you live!

  4. I LOVE this sentiment and the gorgeous star paper you used, that is paper, right?!

Gorgeous sunset! Have a great week!

  5. LOVE your card this week and I am so jealous of those cherry blossoms!

    Deanne :)

  6. Wow, Nina, I love the "rustic" paper and overall design - so unique and fabulous! Hope you're week is going great!

  7. WOW Nina, the cherry blossoms are truly inspiring. I can hardly wait for our trees to bloom here. And your sunrise as well. I truly love to see photos on your blog!

Your card is gorgeous, I totally see elegant Christmas in this but to each his own, hey?

    Love ya,

  8. This is a fabulous Christmas card - the papers work so well together and the sentiment is so pretty.

  9. Great card! I really like the wood grain on the bottom of you card.

  10. Great card! I love the embossed sentiment!

  11. A very pretty card, Nina! Love your papers and that wonderful sentiment is perfect! :)
