Happy Saturday, HAPPY BIRTHDAY ZACH. Today is my baby’s 15th birthday, yup 15?? Not sure what happened there because I don’t recall time flying by that fast. Happy 15th little man, enjoy. For some reason this is huge birthday for my son he is pumped about it. I don’t recall 15 being a big deal for me. I do remember like all other kids wanting to grow up so fast. Zach wants to be taller, older, all things associated with getting older only he wants them now. Slow down buddy, you will get there, enjoy the ride.

So today card is dedicated to my music man. Rock away and have a fabulous birthday.

Supplies: Gray and black cardstock, Designer papers – S.E.I Charlemagne, Inkadinkado – RockStar Clear stamps, ribbon, ribbon slide, brads.

Happy Friday

This was another famous husband request, one of those, hey it is so and so’s birthday can you make a card by tomorrow. Don’t get me wrong I am not complaining, maybe I like the challenge?

When I started making this card, I was not sure if I liked it, I wanted to use the rainbow designer paper and this stamp but I was not really finding cardstock that would work with it. Once I had the image colored I was happier, then the glittery flowers just sort of pulled it together especially after I added the purple and sage rhinestones. The wishing you joy stamp was an after though but I think it was perfect. On the inside I stamped Birthday Wishes.

I love the Derwent Watercolor pencils my husband brought me for Christmas, they are so nice to work with.

Supplies: Light grey and cream cardstock, Designer Paper – DCWV The Far East Stack, Stampin’Up – Summer by the sea, Kolette Hall – Joy, Glitter flowers (unknown), Purple and Sage Rhinestones – Kaiser Scrapbook

Still getting a feel for my light tent, it casts a bit of a gray light, I am not sure if it is the way I have my lights, time and practice will tell.

Until tomorrow, have a great day.

This card is for a golf enthusiast, I don’t have any stamps that come even close to golf so I had to improvise with clipart from Microsoft Word.

Supplies: Blue cardstock, Designer Paper- Memory Stor, Stamp-it Birthday Wishes, Microsoft Word clipart. Forever in Time 3D Pop Dots,

I have a punch that spits out these very small circles, I used a black pen and a silver gel pen to emulate golf ball divots then popped them up with tiny dimensional. The picture does not
capture the true effect of the card, it turned out half decent.

Mid-week already, happy Wednesday. Today card is a simple, small card for my son’s music teacher. I tuck a cheque or money in a new card each month for payment. Yeah that is a lot but if I stopped now he might toss us out and it is almost a mini challenge to make something new each month that is musically inclined.

Supples: Brown card stock, Designer papers – S.E.I Charlemagne, Offray spool o’ ribbon, Inkadinkado Rock Star clear Stamps.

Have a wild and wonderful Wednesday.

Another quick request card for today, my husband is wonderful at requesting cards on short notice. Maybe I should sit him down with some paper and a glue stick J
I used the light tent on this portrait, not bad for a non-photographer me thinks. The picture does not really show that the bandaid stamp is double layered and I used good ol’ Microsoft word for the quote.

Supplies: Gray & Black cardstock, Designer papers – S.E.I Charlemagne, Bandaid stamp – Unknown designer, popup dimensionals, MultiCraft Imports Ribbon.

There are times when I sit down to create a card that I have no idea what I am going to do, I mean I may know I need to make a birthday card or a thank you card but I may not have an idea to work with, other times if I know that a card needs to be made it will cycle around my head until I put glue to paper. I stumble through techniques and toy with new products or shiny bits but I never really feel like I KNOW what I am doing most of the time. I sure am glad that I end up with a card rather than bits of paper just stacked in random array (well most of the time). Rambling… I am going now.

Have a great day.

I love this stamp, I am not one for fashion and I don’t even carry a purse but I have found myself drawn to stamps that are pretty dresses, hats, shoes and purses. They make pretty cards as well.

Supplies: Black & turquoise cardstock, Designer Paper – DCWV the All Dressed up Stack, Lockhart Stamp Co - Roses & Daisies, Prima Flowers, Misc gems.

You can’t tell by the picture but the dress is all glittered up, I also outlined the white card stock it looks more gray then glittery. I love the DCWV All Dressed up designer paper it is already decked out with glitter and wonderful colors requiring very little added to make a pretty card, I have been using a lot of turquoise lately too. The camera seems to pick up flaws as well, I did not notice the access glue on the gems but it is easy to see in the picture.

Have a wonderful day.

Hope you are enjoying you weekend. I apologize that this image is very blurry. I am not positive of the Designer Paper, I made this card a couple of months ago. If anyone recognizes it and it is not Paper Pizazz please let me know. I have been very cardful to make not of the products I use since I started this blog.

Supplies: Cream and brown cardstock, Design Paper – Paper Pizazz Vintage Papers (I think), R.S. Tapestry - Thinking of You, Prima Vintage flowers, Misc gems, Modern Home Ribbon.

Enjoy your Sunday.
